I have not been drawing nearly as much as I’ve wanted to but here’s a quick little sketch I’ve done to help me get back into drawing. Might render later, who knows.

Indra's age

Paras’ age was never outright stated anywhere so I could be totally wrong about this but…

To me, Paras looked more bulked up in X-Men Legacy. For context:

Academy X:

X-Men Legacy:

In the X-Men Legacy picture, Paras looks like his chest is wider, his arm muscles are bigger, and he’s less gangly than the Academy X picture.

I think it can be assumed that was because of puberty as Paras still practiced ahimsa at the time so he wouldn’t have gained muscles from training. Nicky (who Paras mistook for the youngest mutant, likely making them the same age) mutated before puberty so Paras might’ve too. Boys gain more muscles at 13 so Paras was likely 13 at the time.

The issue took place during Utopia, around 1 year after New X-Men. This makes Paras 12 during Academy X.

Around 1 year at Academy X, 1 year at Utopia, 1 year at Jean Grey school, 1 year in Age of X-Men, and then Krakoa, makes four years since Academy X and Paras 16 during Krakoa.

(The minimum marriage age in India for males is 21 and there’s no way Paras was 21 at that time so I’m ignoring that stuff)

Anole's age

Vic’s age is first stated as 16 by Northstar in X-Men: Divided We Stand #1.

Also in the comic, Vic’s normal English class is shown and written on the blackboard is “UXLEY” and “EW WORLD”.

This is most likely in reference to Aldous Huxley, who wrote “Brave New World” which is read in 11th grade, matching up with Vic being 16. This happens shortly after M-Day, so it can be assumed he was probably 16-ish when Academy X started.

Around 1 year at Academy X, 1 year at Utopia, 1 year at Jean Grey school, 1 year in Age of X-Man, and then Krakoa, make four years since Academy X and Vic 20 during Krakoa.

He does say he’s fifteen in X-Men: To Serve And Protect #2 (which takes place during Utopia)

But I think 16 during Academy X makes more sense because:

The whole conversation where Northstar calls him 16 is about Vic trying to prove that Northstar doesn’t understand him that well as he thinks he does so I think Vic would’ve definitely called him out if he wasn’t 16

15 on Utopia would make him 18 on Krakoa but Vic works as a bartender and that just seems weird to me. Like, would you let a teenager pour you drinks??? I just think it’s more acceptable to be 20 and a bartender than 18

He was in a high pressure situation so he could’ve easily been misremembering his age especially since he’s probably not actively celebrating birthdays

Academy X kids for Pride Month! Ben’s the only one without an actual uniform because I saw him in a comic in an outfit like that which was orange-y. Sexuality headcanons below.

Indra (Paras Gavaskar) as Knight of Swords

Kind of gave up at the end, but I think it still turned out okay. Just thought the design worked well with Paras and the meaning kind of fit.
