The Black Pearl
The ship what changed my life forever when I saw her for the first time.
Merry Christmas, everyone! 🎄
I hope you all have a lovely Christmas :)
Frame 3122 for You drew me a lovely frame project.
I can't describe how happy I am to be part of OFMD community😭
Please don't hate me...:')
I was watching both series again and was thinking about the whole thing with Ed shaving off his beard, how the charcoal paint on his face looked, and what he told Stede inin ep4s2 when Stede mentioned his beard: "I'm sorry if my horrible naked chin disgust you."
And I was wondering...What if Ed had a moko kanohi (facial tattoo) and he hides it under his beard?
Listen, I hope this makes sense — and I’m really sorry if it doesn’t. It’s probably just a silly idea, but... We know Ed is an Indigenous (Māori) person; his character is played by a Māori person.
And we know Ed built his pirate career — his whole name and reputation — on his beard. It’s one of the defining features of his persona as a fearsome pirate. It's his mask, his shield that protects him, his vulnerability, his soft side and also helps him look more intimidating."
And racism is a real thing we have to consider. Even we know all racist will be punished in this show(as they should be!) The show itself doesn't show much of it , but you know it’s still clearly present — in the language people use, in passing comments, in how social status is portrayed, in flashbacks... or even in lines like Oluwande’s : "We don't do this because we like it. We do it because we don't have any other choice."
Now to my point! Moko kanohi is traditional Māori symbol of identity. Each moko is completely unique — it tells the story of the person who wears it: their genealogy, personal achievements, lineage, and life journey. It’s not just body art; it’s sacred, and deeply tied to who they are.
Let's add more salt in the wound, shall we ? When Ed shaves off his beard and reveals his bare, naked chin — possibly exposing his moko — it becomes more than just a physical change. It’s not just about the beard. He’s revealing his vulnerability, his heritage, his true self just to be left by Stede right after.
I hope this all makes sense, and I truly hope no one feels offended by anything I’ve shared. I’m sorry if I’ve said something wrong — that was never my intention. This is just an idea I’ve been thinking about, and I wanted to explore it with care and curiosity.
Ed’s hands, because I miss his gorgeous hands 🥺 + a short video of the process for you~
I hope the quality isn’t too bad:’)
Two months in New Zealand! 🇳🇿
I still can’t believe I’m here. Yesterday, I celebrated my little anniversary with a trip to Piha Beach — as many of you know, the final scenes from EP8 of OFMD s2 were filmed there in the north Piha beach area. I had the chance to stand on the exact spot where the inn was, and I felt like the luckiest person alive. I took some photos of the location and decided to share them with you.
So this is the place where the inn was. The sand path leads to camping/parking which is behind the spot where the building was.
And there's the view from the inn spot. You can find a nice bench here, so you can sit and really enjoy it — believe me, you won’t want to leave🌈
I’m planning to visit other filming locations like Te Henga Beach, Te Henga Sand Dunes, and more since I’m close to these spots. Let me know if you’d like me to share a post about those too!
Here you have some more photos of the place (and one of my stupid little self). I hope you enjoyed this post. Also thank you @clairegregoryau and her post which helped me with exploring✨
The bride
Well of course I saw the post from @gypsytaylor on instagram and of course I had to draw my favourite babygirl with the brides veil:’)
Just Lord of Pirkštejn and his loyal dog.
Finally finished this little silent comic. I planned to do only some practice sketches of armor, ended with this little thingy. Hope you will enjoy✨
Also I really miss my pirate gays so you can expect some ofmd fanart soon~
Hi all~
I wanted to do something soft and sweet ...and here we are:'D
Texts are in Czech because I was lazy AND I love Czech dubbing. Of course, the English version is amazing; Tom and Luke did a perfect job, and I love it, but when Richard Wagner (Jindřich) speaks, ...oh boy (He's also very sweet in person:3)
I think everyone can understand without the translation but here is the english translation:
Henry: "Wait! Hans! Hans! Don't worry! Hans!"
Hans: "I'm a nobleman! Do you hear me?! I am sir Hans Capon of Pirkstein..."
Henry the herbalist Flower picking is one of my favorite activities in kcd
Jan Ptáček z Pirkštejna
Jindříšek and his fucking sword
"I care about you." Quick silly little drawing before going to bed. I love them so much :´)
Hi all! You wished to see more of my work. I'm a big fan of the medieval times and medieval art; it's my biggest passion and inspiration. And I want to share it with you. I did this at the end of 2024, but didn't post it here because I wasn't sure if someone would care about non-fandom related stuff :´)
He needs some rest :')
More sketches of Jindra for you + first sketches of our favourite lord Ptáček as a bonus ✨
