I do consider myself somewhat ""blackpilled"" in regards to FTM oppression.

Once you really look into it you realize just how much is written in our blood.

"If trans men are so important where were they at Stonewall?" Across the street locked away in an over crowded, rat infested prison. Thats where we fucking were.

Looking into The Womens House of Detention, located directly across the street from the Stonewall Inn was really the final nail in the coffin for me.

Its 12 story maximum security torture asylum, its estimated 75% or more of the THOUSANDS of prisoners kept there where WLW or transmasc. Gender non-conforming women and "women" where the main targets. You could be thrown in here for: walking alone at nightz wesring pants, being poor, "imporper feminity" and prostitution (which trans men and butch lesbains have a very expensive history with, I'd argue as expansive and soul destroying as trans women and twink history with it. However ours is heavily covered up. There where times in history the association between gender non-conformity and prostitution was so stronge a "women" presenting masculine was considered a flag for it.)

It was open from 1929-1974. Meaning it opened BEFORE any of my grandparents where born and didn't close until both my parents where well into being children. It is extremely recent.

During the Stonewall Rebellion the lesbains and trans men imprisoned there threw whatever they could at the cops, they lit stuff on fire, they screamed, they did all they could from their cells to aid in the fight against the police knowing it was certain to make their stay in Hell longer and far more brutal.

This prison was also a well known issue at the time, queer locals (Gay men, trans women and the lesbains and transmascs who managed to avoid arrest) where trying to get it shut down. You could hear the screams coming from withen just walking by it.

How fucking dare you all forgot these people. How fucking dare you act like our historical absences is because we abandon our community. By denying our oppression and ignoring our contributions you are not only spitting in the face of us. You are spitting in the face of every single queer elder who tried to fight for us. You are spitting in the face of every trans women elder. You are spitting in the face of the queer historical figures you pretend to respect.

I’d like to add this photo I took last night in Victoria of the statue of Captain Cook. Though I myself am not indigenous, I 100% agree that these murderers, kidnappers and rapists shouldn’t have huge statues and plaques that decorate them and say how “great” they were.

I had seen the first picture of the church, but not the second.

I went to a “Cancel Canada Day” event and burst into tears - not because I was surprised to learn of the unmarked graves (survivors told us they were there. Our government pushed it aside, and we let them), but because seeing all the people gathered in mourning drove it home: They. Were. Children.

This is my country’s legacy - and it’s not history. The last schools closed during my lifetime. My Father went to school with students who lived at the local residential school, after it was changed to a boarding house (read: holding centre) for indigenous youth who went to local schools.

They were all children, injured, abused, and killed in my country’s attempt to erase them. I want the world to see this and hold the state accountable to *active* reconciliation> I mean we could at least truly adopt UNDRIP in action instead of words for god’s sake.

Hey so. Reducing transmasculine erasure to a victim complex is fucking sickening.

Transmasculine erasure (commonly called "invisibility") is not "ohh, people aren't punching me because they don't know about me. I wish they'd punch me" its having our identity, and even the crimes and suffering we face erased from history. Its the denial of life saving care because doctors and pharma companies refuse to see us, refuse to TREAT us, or demand we detransition to accesss the care.

Refer to Lucas Redbeard: who was murdered, but local news sources refused to even speak about him, only his murderers.

Refer to Robert Eads: who was turned down for treatment of ovarian cancer until it was beyond treatment.

Refer to the fact that many trans men are scared to go on prep, despite being sexually active, because drug companies refuse to test or gather data on how it affects us.

Refer to the fact that transmasculine people are disproportionately affected by scuicide; even for the queer community.

If you wanna criticize victim complexes in the queer community, go the fuck ahead. That needs addressing. But to devalue transmasculine erasure to a fucking victim complex is disgusting. Quit contributing to transmasc erasure, fucking acknowledge the problems that are faced by trans men, mascs and adjacent people.

The Tattoo Post™️ is so revealing of the current state of trans discourse online. Really it’s quite a fascinating case study. Right from the jump we have the weirdly paternalistic framing that trans men should run tattoo ideas by their friends, insinuating that trans men innately have poor judgment. By singling out trans men as a demographic rather than just advising people get feedback on their tattoo ideas or stating that they think the tattoo in question is bad, OP implies that it is trans men specifically and no other demographic that deserve to be held to this level of scrutiny. And even if you stripped the weird gender wars bullshit away from the whole thing, there remains the fact that putting a stranger on blast over an innocuous tattoo is deeply weird and uhhh bullying? Just straight up middle school bully behavior? What the hell is wrong with you?

This disability pride month has been extremely hard for me.

It has just been a reminder that the medical system would rather I die, then to try to get me treatment. It is a reminder that they have given up & do not want me to live.

It has been seeing white disabled people get all the treatment & resources while black and brown disabled people are left behind.

It's been eugenics and the threat of losing ADA & bringing back institutions.

People would rather pretend life with several diseases, parasites, viral infections, unclean air that we can't breathe is normal rather than wear a mask and do something about it. Every abled person is letting us all die and watching, just like the beginning of Covid too.

I have not felt any pride or joy. I have not felt accepted in a community, i don't have community care or access to the resources other disabled people do.

I have felt shame, anger, frustration, jealous, depressed and other negative emotions. I feel hopeless.

People follow me for my art, but would you care about my art if I become so disabled I no longer can make it? If I waste away in bed because I can't get up and have no caregiver, or resources?

I am just another faceless nobody. A disabled person slipping through the cracks of the system that will never be here for me.

People tell me to stay strong but have no idea how hard it is to live for a day in my body

I am tired.

I have only 18$ in my bank account because of some mental health struggles of my partner (going in & out of residential and hospital treatment).

It's crazy how people will constantly yammer on about how 12-14 year olds are all annoying inhuman creatures who deserve to be bullied for simply existing at that particular point in one's life and this is so common and such a pervasive societal notion that many middle school aged children will quickly internalize it and end up hating themselves and everyone around them as a result which they will demonstrate that by being unkind to their peers because they don't know how to manage the anger and misanthropy that's brewing inside them like a hurricane and it just keeps coming out in stormy bursts even if they don't mean for it to so middle school sort of just becomes this breeding ground for constant negativity and unkindness because everyone is so damaged by the way society treats them that they are jaded and just constantly want to kill everybody including themselves to get away from the hellishness of it all but the bullying and the lashing out and the communal sense of madness that nobody talks about because they never feel like they're allowed to and/or like nobody else gets it because they're so isolated just makes it all so much worse and at the end of the day it really is more about how society treats teens and preteens like horseshit than anything else and how this affects their mental stability but nobody stops to consider that so instead we all just dismiss it as the result of hormones and puberty making every 13 year old ontologically evil and therefore deserving of demonization and unending abuse and refuse to see the looping cyclical pattern occurring here. Why is it so acceptable to talk about tweens in this way what the fuck have they done to deserve this and why does nobody ever want to point out this issue or try to solve it by oh I don't know simply being nicer to kids? I know I'm not the only one who's acutely aware of this but it feels like I am and I feel fucking insane
