♛-; There was something… slightly sinister about Araqiel’s laugh that sent shivers down Ephraim’s spine. Going into the old chateau with the queen of hearts… There were many things he’d rather prefer to do with his time, but he knew better than to disagree with him.
♛-; “I–I’m not quite sure if that’s how it works Queen Araqiel…” A door opening just because he had brought someone along with him? How preposterous! But just as he said that, the doors to the estate opened up, causing Ephraim to jump slightly as he hadn’t expected that to work at all.
♛-; ‘Or else.’ The king knew better than to go against the queen of hearts’ wishes, and so with a gulp, he hesitantly let their arms continue to be linked (though Araqiel most likely wouldn’t have given him a choice either way, and he’d rather not incur the wrath of the queen). “A-After you, Your Majesty…” Oh gods, it seemed he would be meeting his brother and father sooner than expected, for this ‘date’ was sure to give him a heart attack.
“Perfect! I’m so, so glad that you agreed to come with me!” It’s not like there was much of a choice on the other man’s part... If Ephraim hadn’t agreed, Araqiel would’ve found some way to declare war on Pique. It was good that it hadn’t gotten to that point yet.
With a bounce in his step, Araqiel tugged Ephraim over to the entrance, closer, so that they may talk to the old, damned castle.
“Oh my, oh my, won’t you be a dear and open up for these two lovebirds?”
The Old Chateau didn’t say anything for a moment or two, but then its doors unlocked and one swung open. Araqiel had an inkling of a thought that it just wanted to get him out of its hair, but that was better than nothing, and he congratulated himself for being able to do it.
“Haha, hah, thank you, thank you, dear castle, we’ll see you on the way out,” he chimed, and with a sinister smile, he took a step inside, still linked with Ephraim.
