âHow did we not run a color blindness test for everyone when our color observation is the ONE thing that we need to count on?!â

Idk how to explain to people that the US isn't declining into fascism, it's been a fascist state since the moment it started with genocide and slavery.
People on this post keep insisting that it's not fascism because of lack of authoritarianism and not realizing that that's the fucking point.
There was a lack of authoritarianism for most people, most notably white people.
But what about the Native people who were forced into reservations that they weren't allowed to leave without permission? Who weren't allowed to speak their languages or sing their songs or dance their dances?
What about the black people who were forced into slavery and then into segregation? Who were separated from their families and weren't allowed to read or write?
What about the brown immigrants who were paid next to nothing for backbreaking work building a country that they weren't considered a part of? Who were forced to live in controlled housing where their every movement was monitored in case they tried to leave?
The US is and has always been a fascist state. Some people just have the privilege to ignore it.
i wish i had enough social media influence to encourage people to call the miami-dade offices, specifically their post office, and demand that the 27% of missing ballots be counted, seeing as miami-dade could flip all of florida blue, and then change the outcome of the entire election
i just discovered that the secretary of state is responsible for calling recounts!
call them here: (850) 245-6500
i havenât been on tumblr in so long i donât know who any of the people iâm following are lol
Just let that sink in.
thats why the vietnam war was the last war ever televised
Chelsea Manning went to jail trying to show people the extend of the atrocities American commits overseas. I watched some of the leaked footage. I think some of the worst of it was a drone bombing of a wedding in Yemen, then a day later America bombed the funeral of those killed at the wedding. Ambulances and first response units (which are protected under international law), were being bombed. People trying to take shelter were being bombed.Â
And thatâs just drones, which is to say nothing for the numerous illegal black sites America operates around the world. Or the effects of using white phosphorus, which will continue to burn as long as oxygen is present and melts human tissues. That was used in Fallujah, which was a blood-bath from start to finish.Â
Which is why I have zero trust in the military, both American and British, because this is just some of the stuff we know about.Â

CondĂ© Nast has suspended Bon AppĂ©tit video editor Matt Hunziker âpending investigationâ by the company.
Condé Nast has suspended Bon Appétit video editor Matt Hunziker, the publisher confirmed to Business Insider.
CondĂ© Nast Entertainment president Oren Katzeff said during a June 25 staff meeting that Hunziker has been suspended âpending investigationâ by the company, according to a recording reviewed by Business Insider.
âThere have been many concerns raised about Matt that the company is obligated to investigate and he has been suspended until we reach a resolution,â a CondĂ© Nast spokesperson said in a statement.
The spokesperson did not detail what concerns sparked the suspension. Katzeff did not provide reasons for the suspension on the call, citing policies from legal and human resources.

Sohlae, Priya and Carla standing up for Hunzi on social media. CN are really doing themselves a favour by suspending the fan favourite editor, huh?
Over the last few weeks, we have seen a reckoning unfold across corporate America. We have seen how structural racism in the work place contributes to the racial wealth gap, and how Black and POC workers are exploited by major corporations - the same corporations that are posting #blm and #solidarity graphics. More then ever, we need accomplices. We need white alllies who have a seat at the table to do the work of actively dismantling white supremacy in all aspects of our lives. @matthunzi from @bonappetitmag has always been that accomplice. His suspension is a retaliatory move and we will not tolerate it.
it's easy to say what happened to George Floyd and the consequences of it as just "oh another disaster for 2020". it's easy to brush it off as 2020 rearing its head again.
but this isn't just 2020. this is last year. and the year before. it's the last century. and next year. next month. don't become complacent and brush it off. don't let this become just another horrible thing that happened in 2020. it shouldn't be forgotten. because this is every day for black people. every year.
let this radicalize you. let this be the final year this kind of thing happens. don't let it become another 2020 disaster. don't let things go back to how it was. we must stop treating this as another thing that happened in 2020. do not let this become the forgotten year and don't allow George Floyd and his voice and countless black voices behind this to be forgotten - just another terrible thing. this isn't just 2020. this is something that happens all the time. don't let this go away.
reminder to be wary of any news coverage you hear or read that doesnât come from a direct source because there is always some type of spin on EVERYTHING.
