LE CHASE!! Back in 2010 I made my first solo animated short and posted it to youtube. I used a track from Sexy Parodius, a Konami Shoot ‘Em Up from Japan as inspiration. Using a light table (these were my precintiq days) I did straight ahead animation and scanned the drawings into Toon Boom Studio for digital ink and paint. I ran with the villain captures a Princess trope and these are the characters I designed. It’s fun to look back at old projects and see how you have progressed.

Hey, yes, I’m back with a little fanart for you all! Flamerus Rex, one of the Vile Four, from Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. Now I know this game gets a lot of hate, but this was my first FF, my first RPG, my gateway drug! And who can say no to red dino bones, am I right?

Oh, yeah! I beat the remaster of Crash Bandicoot last night but could not get over how shitty the jumping felt. Here is an illustration of 90% of my jumps in the game.

Can’t wait to see the SNES Mini nowhere except on Ebay. Nintendo says they are making more units than the NES Classic, but I haven’t even seen a Switch for sale! Good luck getting yours!

My process for these gifs:

1.) Everything was animated in flash

2.) Imported into After Effects where I add FX

3.) Export Image Sequence to Photoshop to make the GIF!
