So, I've gotten a lot of new followers recently, that never saw the Viktor artwork I created while the show was airing, so I figured I'd reblog to share it again since I'm proud of it and I use the reblog to maybe say hey to all my new friends here! The Camarilla in Austin offering LaVonte a position of power is so good on a storytelling level because it reiterates the point Brennan made earlier about the college students not wanting to stay and build something but rather go somewhere it's already built. He's presenting LaVonte with the same choice as students like Patty Babcock. Stay in Purpee and do the hard work of creating the community you want or leave for a city where it's all established and he can just slot into the system. It's great because it pissed LaVonte of that the students didn't care. Now confronted with the same choice is he going to be true to his intentions of making New Rome or be a hypocrite?

The people of Purpee make me so emotional, they're actually so good. There's the food co-op doing all they can. And the templers raise money for children's hospitals. Marisol working three jobs and still doing what she can to help. Most people they meet are so willing to help each other and our intrepid heroes. And Willie Coop just wanted a conversation.

the best thing about rulette 2 is that i do think it adds substantial mechanical improvements to the game design of the first iteration — paul and sam as ‘players’ intended to follow and be called out on rules, interesting new rules/prompts/modifiers, the golden rule concept, etc. — but all of that slowly but surely becomes overshadowed by josh ruben landing by chance on all of the specific rules that transform him into a baby-themed tongue-heavy gyrating monster
