In all countries of the world, when a small child comes to them, they rejoice and have a good face and happiness for them. Except here in Gaza, with his coming, a great march of suffering begins to provide milk and diapers for children. The siege that Gaza has gone through and what it is going through to this day and preventing the entry of these necessary and special needs for newborn children and their mothers made them thin children, some of whom are distorted by the effects of the bombing and the deadly smell of gunpowder. In these times, my sister gave birth to a small child like an angel who came after suffering, constant hunger and lack of glandular supplements that all pregnant women in Gaza need. Everything was destroyed in seconds. The explosion was so powerful that our own tent was pushed aside and nearly collapsed.
We were in the camp, but my children and I survived by a miracle because I had gone to the bakery to bring bread for my children.
If we had stayed, we would have been killed.
We returned to find death had passed through our place.
My children were shaking with fear, crying, asking me: “Mom, where can we be safe?” — and I had no answer.
On top of all this, I am also suffering with my injured husband, whose condition is very critical and requires urgent care and constant treatment. I am carrying this unbearable burden alone, trying to protect my children while caring for my wounded husband.
We are a displaced family with nothing left.

An incredibly concerning amount of people have no idea what actually constitutes abuse. There's usually statements of "oh that's not abuse because it happened to me and I turned out just fine", and that's usually in relation to things that are considered discipline by older generations, like screaming and yelling, name calling, and spanking, yes spanking counts as hitting. Here is a resource from Harvard about how spanking affects the brain (spoiler, the same areas light up as s*xual abuse) So I thought I would take it upon myself to share the abuse wheel that I shared with several of my previous therapists, and all of them have liked it, and several of them have asked for copies of it because it was better than their abuse papers.

This is what abuse. This is what abuse looks like. If you have these things happen to you, you have been abused. Obviously certain things like lewd photographs or treats you like a s*x object doesn't count if it was consensual between adults. Context is important here. We are saying these things are being done to you without your enthusiastic consent, THAT is abuse. Any of these things being done to children, THAT is abuse.
