I don't think that someone using she/her on Ralsei is anywhere as bad as people using he/him on Kris. She/her Ralsei stems from an interpretation based on evidence given in the text, typically done by trans people seeing their experiences in the character. He/him Kris is the player's own unconscious biases seeping into how they view gender and them forcing Kris into a binary and further stripping them of their identity. One is giving respect and credence to a character's storyline. The other, intentionally or otherwise, is feeding into transphobic beliefs and goes against the character's storyline even further. This subtle nuance would kill most people

So for those that haven't watched it the 4k version of the tau demo is actually different footage

For the most part it plays out almost exactly the same just without the commentary and audience reactions

the one notable exception however is that when we meet larynde we see brysko actually physically wave her off when she asks him if he wants to take a spin

Sentient behavior in Tau.

I'm seeing some folks not liking how human the Sentient society in Tau appears to be. They were looking for something more alien.

But I think this is actually a very poignant choice by the narrative team. The Sentients have tried to position themselves as superior beings to "bios." They saw themselves as above the corruption of humanity. And yet, when they themselves are presented with dire material conditions, they have managed to organize their society into a dystopia as well.

There's something fascinating in seeing machine beings, typically depicted as being logical and utilitarian elsewhere in popular media, as succumbing to the same types of hubris as humans. The hypocrisy of it is too juicy.

And it stems back to my earlier comments on Adis and Itzam around the Old Peace. The Sentients no longer think like machines. They no longer have perfect recall of information they've encountered. Not just any Sentient can become an Archimedean. Some of them have to cheat to pass their pop quizzes. Some of them have to organize a criminal empire to provide structure to the chaos they find themselves in.

The Sentients are now beholden to the burden of individuality, and all of the imperfections that come with it.

The whole point of warframe and the thing that sets it apart from almost every other sci-f is that there are no aliens only humans

It's why even the most alien things in this game are still intrinsically linked to humanity, with the sentients being made by humans and the indifference being a reflection of humans

Its why even after 13 years the closest we've gotten to an actual alien is a flower (which im half convinced isnt even alien and was actually made by the void but thats not the point)

This wasnt a coincidence it was an intentional design decision by DE, because this game is one about the growth and evolution of humans as a species
