Libertarian ideal for functioning government: "A man in the woods somewhere, cares about your social programs."
Nose study.
All are one...
The all-father Odin takes many names, forms, and faces. He is arguably just as anthropomorphic as Loki the trickster. As I read the Poetic Edda for the first time in it’s entirety, and though I already know the plots by heart, I never really grasped the concept of Odin’s plurality. Vili and Vi and not the birth siblings of Odin, but the external embodiments of his power. As are his two crows, two wolves, ect. and I theorize, Thor as well. In the literature, Thor is born of Mother Earth, not Freyja. Thor cares for the plight of man more than any other god, though the creation of man is attributed to Odin, Vili, and Vi. Vili and Vi are not mentioned outside of the creation myth, and Mother Earth is not mentioned but the once as Thor’s mother. Assuming that Mother Earth represents Midgard, not the whole of nordic creation, then Thor was born after the death of Ymir, the creation of Midgard, and the creation of Ask and Embla. I suspect that Thor was born to fulfill a role in Odin’s creation. That as Odin’s crows embody his thought and memory, and his wolves embody his hunger and greed, as they observe the world, scavenge the battlefield, Thor’s purpose is the help mankind thrive and replenish, embodying his love of mankind, and is created in the same manner as Odin’s other embodiments and alter egos. The same could be said for many other gods, if not all, but I believe Thor is a story telling device to introduce us the the idea of oneness, and we are to take that idea and run.
First concept sketch on my next tattoo. It depicts Nidhogg gnawing on the roots of Yggdrasil, with which he is bound.
Black Mirror S:3 E:2 Playtest
So aside from the borderline offensive Japanese and American stereotypes, I did enjoy the "Playtest" episode. The show always finds interesting cautionary tales to tell about our relationships with our inventions, and the violent cultures that are built on them. The third season, I feel has lost something that I can't quite put my finger on yet. But it still has merits of it's own and is still a decent show. This episode begs the question, as interactive media strives for a more immersive experience, does it instill doubt into our "true reality"? Throughout the episode, nothing's quite right. But from the moment the AR is introduced to the story, you ask every following frame; "Is this real?" Even the conclusion of the episode can't quite be taken as it's shown. Is your too familiar with the horror genre then the episode is very predictable. Even acknowledging this at some times. However it's predictability doesn't hinder the concept being conveyed. A great show that I hope Netflix keeps bringing original ideas.
"Nothing that happened at all can be reprehensible in itself, for one should not want to eliminate it as everything is bound with everything else."

A society obsessed with individualism and personal freedom like the libertarian wet dream, is a shit one. Inherently anti-nationalisic, no unity, no forms of expectations to or relying on your fellow countryman, no objective morality or established norms to make up a common culture. It’s merely a gathering of egoistic individuals that just happen to live close to one and another. I wouldn’t even call it a society in the traditional sense, cause that would imply it possessed an actual character.
and yet here you are; chugging your piss
But is that beautiful sense of community to be forced onto unwilling members of an overbearing father's fold, and would that community even feel genuine? Can a man/woman not be capable of compassion and charity towards those beyond their sight, without the self promoting authorities prodding the sheep along? Or just maybe individuals, first and foremost, should be allotted the tools to think for themselves and the right to invest there time and efforts to whatever cause they elect worthy, and social and cultural progress should be gained naturally by the changing of hearts and minds, obtained by person to person debate....or human beings are shit, independently incapable of growth, and aren't worth saving.
Meditation allows me to forget that this is me, going under. Then allows me to remember that this never was me, coming up.
Fantasy is escapist, and that is its glory. If a soldier is imprisoned by the enemy, don't we consider it his duty to escape? If we value the freedom of mind and soul, if we,re partisans of liberty, then it's our plain duty to escape, and to take as many people with us as we can!

The Totem
With Freud's perspective of Paganism in mind, what all would the purpose of taking the name of a God or Goddess in prayer or similar practice be if the prayer given is quickly forgotten as you go about you're day? Unless one devotes hours of the day to there practices and ignores they're health and dependants, if any, the prayer is almost pointless. Unless one prays and excercises rites upon a totem. It required hardly any additional effort and then serves at the very least as a reminder of your prayers. As you go about your day, you'll carry your deities, values, and prayers with you.
The men where you live raise five thousand roses in the same garden-and they do not find what they are looking for. And yet what they are looking for could be found in a single rose, or in a little water.
