I originally developed this spell as a binding for abusers in abusive relationships, but it is adaptable. You could use it to bind an abuser, someone who may harm your directly, or someone who may harm you indirectly. The world is a scary place these days and there’s no protest like a strong curse.
I have only used this spell a couple of times and always on physically and emotionally abusive men who went to jail within 48 hours of the spell being cast. Their partners did not contact the police, either. It happened by itself, like magic. This spell is fast-acting and powerful. Triflers need not apply. It is also a bit involved. I would like to note that the herbs I use in this spell and other spells depends greatly on what herbs I have available at the time. I love a good, high magic ritual, but am a humble practitioner of low magic at heart.
Colored thread and a needle
A skin-colored piece of cloth
Several pieces of black string, thread, or hemp
Several cups of an herbal mixture consisting of:
You may also use asafetida, chili powder, cinquefoil, garlic, or any member of the nightshade family (though you should be careful handling nightshades, of course). Sulfur and cemetery dirt may also be appropriate, but be careful that the ingredients you use don’t veer too far into curse territory if you’re attempting a binding (though if you need to curse, this spell could be a convenient template).
A taglock, an item to attach the person to the spell, if at all possible. Items may include, but are not limited to: some of their hair, fingernail or toenail pairings, bodily fluids, a tooth, a piece of clothing worn against the skin, their signature, or their photograph. I have cast spells such as this without these items, but they would make the spell easier.
A magical oil consisting of:
Exactly nine drops of patchouli essential oil
Strap in, boys, girls, and gender nonconforming individuals. This spell is best cast on a Saturday or on the Dark-of-the-Moon. If those dates coincide, even better. This spell takes a while, so don’t start it and hope it will be done in an hour if the moon will go void of course in a little while. Give yourself plenty of time.
Begin by making the poppet. Cut the cloth into two identical human shapes. Think of a gingerbread man. This will form the basis of the poppet.
Embroider one of the pieces of cloth to resemble the person you wish to bind. This does not need to be artful, but the poppet should resemble the person when you are done. Be sure to include their hair, eye color, general facial shape, facial hair, glasses, or any other distinguishing features. You may include the genitalia if you wish.
On the poppet’s belly, stich three symbols. In descending order, stich the persons’ astrological Sun sign, Moon Sign, and Rising Sign.
Sew the two pieces of the poppet together, but do not completely sew the top up.
Prepare the candle. With a magical knife or a needle, carve the runes hagalaz and algiz (come through, Google Images!) into the candle.
Assemble the magical herb mixtures and the magical oil mixtures.
Cast a circle, if it is part of your magical practice. I call on Hecate and the Horned One to help empower such workings. If this is not your thing or you are secular, skip this bit.
Take the candle and dress it with the magical oil. Do this while visualizing the person being bound. Dress the candle from the center outward. Light the candle. If you are doing this in a circle, carry the candle three times around the circle widdershins (counterclockwise).
Fill the poppet with the herbal mixture and sew it shut. Dab some oil on your fingers and pound three times against the poppet’s chest. Say, “You are (name). I command you to come to life to be bound.” Breathe into the poppet’s mouth and bring it to life.
Now take the black string and bind the poppet’s eyes shut. After, bind the mouth. Bind the hands together behind the poppet’s back and bind the feet together. Bind the hands and feet to one another to hog-tie the poppet. This should create a circle. Visualize the person being bound while doing this.
Now take the lit candle and slide the poppet over it, singeing the poppet slightly as it goes down. Let the black wax melt over the poppet, further binding it. Chant “Bind him, bind him, bind him.”
Burn the candle every night until the spell has taken effect. The candle may need to be replaced multiple times. If so, do as described here. Carve the same runes into the candle and dress it.
When the spell has taken hold, when you know the time is right, dispose of the spell. If you can go onto the person’s property, this is ideal. Take the hammer and nail and nail the poppet into a tree, directly through the heart. As the poppet biodegrades, the spell will be woven into the earth and into the fabric of reality permanently. Do this at a crossroads if you cannot go onto their property or in a cemetery if you wish them to wither away and die. Thank the tree with a bit of liquor.
