Witches and the relationship with their guardians is often adversely & causes many of the witch’s issues in their life but this also comes with the effect of making the witch be the rule breaker, having a define sense of self and self sufficient because of the awful upbringing they endured.

An example I give is Grandpa Harley he is after all the very reason Jade is isolated as he deliberately placed her on that island and if he didn’t pick her up Jade would’ve lived with the Egberts as she did land near their home meaning that if things were different she would’ve grown up along with June,

Not only that grandpa Harley is quite neglectful never actually caring for her & that neglect nearly gets Jade killed but ultimately left her alone to be surrounded by corpses (including her own dead body) and he knew this would happen,

HIC has tried many attempts to take Feferi’s life & even outside of that Feferi had to face many burdens under her lusus as she needs to daily feed it otherwise her entire species is dead thus putting many burdens on the poor witch and I don’t think I need to explain Damara & doc scratch. Bottom line the witches guardians are assholes (btw Witches & sylphs tend to have 2 guardians which is Grandpa Harley & Bec, Condesce & Gl'bgolyb and Doc scratch & Lord English)

But at the same time those guardians do provide said witches with all the tools they need for their own success as despite being given an difficult hand Feferi did develop a better bond & control with her lusus than HIC and thus the horrorterrors in general (as when HIC got a new one it would disobey her & kill any new trolls with its glub)

thanks to that Feferi was able to change the meaning of both dreams & death within paradox space and with the creation of the dream bubbles Feferi did realize her goal of changing culling as she contains the lost souls in bubbles safe away from the horrorterrors just like the cuttlefish she used to lock up but this time no lost souls can exit the bubbles which did came with the effect of making not only her stagnate & lose relevance but most of the ghosts in general as they cant grow as people (reflection of how beforus Feferi ran the place) with some exception like Porrim,

the only thing Grandpa taught Jade was to shoot rifles & do taxidermy everything else like gardening & machinery she founded & trained herself that grandpa left lying around (including the dreambot to aid her) thus showing her ingenuity which in turn is how Jade operated in her session due to her great understanding of space she was able to actively influence a lot of key events like the present or the password system,

however the greatest asset Grandpa has lend to Jade is Bec himself not only did he look after Jade when that negligent old fuck couldn’t be bothered to but when she godtiered she gained Bec’s space warping & FG abilities which vastly expanded amplified Jade’s space powers to absurd levels which culminated in her actions in cascade & doing the impossible of saving the planets as when Kanaya was offered a similar choice by echidna she couldn’t do it,

but to get that power Jade’s trial involved her having to accept & put Bec down for the greater good in order to grow as a person. Unfortunately for Damara she will never be allow to grow as a person by the people around her.

There are a lot of readings you can get from the dancestors since they only have a few scenes, most any lore they have is told to us by Aranea, we only get to see them after they’ve been dead for a good long long while and honestly it wouldn’t be unreasonable to say they’ve probably got a few screws loose from having to endure eternity with a group of friends that don’t really like each other all that much. You need to speculate a lot to get characterization from any of them, like Kurloz what’s his fucking deal man he’s vaguely ominous and the two relationships he’s had involved him giving them a disability and he doesn’t seem to have any problem using his creepy clown magic to force people to help him in his plans to bring upon the ultimate death of everything, but then he just doesn’t show up ever again so like, why’d he do that.

I’m actually just really confused by Kurloz’s devotion to Lord English in general since beforus Gamzee was a pretty normal guy, so I’m pretty sure Kurloz wasn’t raised into his green death god skeleton worship like Gamzee, so like, is he doing this just because he feels like it or something? Alternia Kurloz was like, the leader of the shadow government, and I know they’re not literally the same guy since they grew up differently or whateva, but the other dancestors seem to approve of what their alternia counterpart did, except for Kankri but that Vantas family all hate themselves him hating the signless is metaphorical self-hate, but I really just wanna know what Kurloz thinks about The Grand Highblood.

A good amount of the few things he does on and off screen are just, sketchy y’know? He’s fine with using mind control that also makes the person he’e controlling unaware of what they and Kurloz did which is, creepy man like how else can I read him doing that other than him being fuckinggg sinister and creepy! There’s also the statement that he was the only person who was present for the incident that gave Mituna his condition, which could be completely innocent, but with him already being a sketchy guy it kinds feels like they want you to think Kurloz might’ve had something to do with it? Which makes him being in an active relationship with Mituna creepy which I really don’t wanna do since Mituna has so much going against him I wanna give the guy one win just one.

Am I being a total nutjob making a something out of nothing or is Kurloz really just this weird and if he is this weird what’s the fucking point if he doesn’t even actually show up at any point is he a potentialman of an antagonist why’d he grow up to be troll donald trump on alternia why’d he do that

I don’t like, hate him and want everyone to think he’s super mega satan levels of villain I just, he confuses me man, and why does he wear a halloween costume all the time and nobody in the story talks about it they could’ve had a bit where he gets pissed off about people dressing up for halloween like Gamzee got pissed off by ICP, coulda shoulda woulda the character. I see posts about him and he’s acting like a normal guy and it reminds me of this video below
