I actually hate the fact that jobs try to perpetuate this lie that “two weeks notice” are required. Like first of all, you can have a 2 day notice— I quit TODAY!

But all jokes aside, if companies can lay people off (especially around Christmas time this is a huge issue that ruins people w/ familys’ entire lives) without any notice or warning because of the whole “at will employment” thing.... then I can quit without any notice, especially if you’re treating me like shit.

And I’ve made this point before, and people say “well when you do that you’re just making it harder on the other employees!!!!!” No. That is bullshit. If someone quits without notice, it is MANAGEMENT’S job, the people who get paid way more, to cover the shifts and figure out how to get the schedule covered, and if there are issues with being understaffed again that’s a management problem. The responsibility to keep the company properly staffed does not fall on the shoulders of the underpaid and the mistreated. Companies don’t own us.

So ya, all they deserve is a 2day notice and a meme. Not sorry lmao

This is a story about a gender non-conforming girl being told over and over she can’t do what she wants because she’s a girl and instead of realizing how sexist and regressive that is they just keep pushing it from both sides. The idea that gender non-conforming girls are really boys is sexist horseshit.

It’s saying “girls can’t be X” just like women and girls have been told throughout history. Now they say that if we want to be gender non-conforming we have to hate who we are, female, and try to be something we never will be, male.

You know how irritating it is to be told that existing how I naturally am is an imitation of men? As if I glued my body hair on and didn’t just grow it due to being an adult, as if I didn’t take makeup off but put something on to make my natural face look the way it does, as if doing anything outside of femininity was proof that I hate being a woman instead of an act of self love.

You know how terrifying it is to know there are people who would have seen me as a child and told me my problem was I needed surgery and hormones? You know how horrific it is that not liking pink and princesses as a child is enough to cause you a lifetime of medical experimentation because people can’t accept unfeminine girls and women?

To me this might as well be the modern form of hospitalizing and medicating “unruly” women and girls. You can be gender non-conforming, but it comes at a price. You can be yourself, but only if you pretend you’re someone else.

I was trans and thank goodness I woke up to see it for what it is, a crock of sexist misogynistic regressive bullshit trying to pass itself off as progressive.

I am a gender non-conforming adult human female and I love myself. What gender non-conforming children and adults need is self love and acceptance, not to be pathologized.

I’ve seen this post before and it makes me angry every time, by the time these kids are adults they will think this is normal, that this is the norm. Finding comfortable clothes shouldn’t be as difficult as it is, and even more in the case of children.

Patriachy be like that. Girls aren’t supposed to be comfortable or to move around. They’re supposed to be “pretty”, constricted, to show themselves. Even if you try to find more confortable clothing in the female section it’ll have something that ties back to this horrible set of “rules” about gendered clothes. Even patterns are more scarce in the female section. I was tired of just seeing the same stamp from my fandom in 2 diferent colours (usually black and white), then you go into the male section and there are so much more options, more colours, more designs, and it just makes you go wtf??!!! Why???!!!

one time long ago I read a book by a comedian named Celia Rivenbank and one of the stories she told was abt how frustrated she was that she couldn’t find age appropriate attire for her young daughters. that book was published in 2011 and to this day it gets more and more relevant as time passes

My mother almost always bought my clothes in the boys section, (unless it was something like a skirt obviously) even school shirts. Because you know that school shirts/blouses for girls are more see-through than the identical ones for boys? And even when I hit puberty and got female curves, the female blouses would just gape horribly but the boys ones wouldn’t because they were looser in general. There’s literally no difference in the seams or how the clothes are cut other than smaller/thinner for girls over boys. Buy your child clothing from the boys section unless they specifically want a skirt or dress. They’ll thank you for it later, and they’ll get used to ignoring arseholes wondering why as young women they’re shopping in the male section.

the only one on this list that was confirmed to be trans was christine jorgenson. so yea “people who were openly trans and non-binary” my ass.
