reblog this if you believe in friend soulmates :)
i 100% believe in friend soulmates and hereâs why. i met (one of) my friend soulmates when i was really young at a summer camp and we saw each other only once week every year. we never spoke in between that one week and yet every time we saw each other after a year had passed it was like no time had passed. today weâre best friends and love each other so deeply and know each other in such an amazing way. we were clearly made to be best friends and i believe that everyone has several friends like that on this earth so donât give up on finding yours â¤ď¸
it genuinely confuses me how a person could hate on another person for something they canât control or choose.
does anyone else have the issue where all your personality traits are ones you got from other friends so you feel like none of your personality traits and common sayings are really yours???
because yeah same.
sometimes it almost scares me how quickly a heart can love. even if you donât realize it. when you just click with a person so well whether itâs platonic or not and your heart just goes âyes them i love themâ because even though you may not know a lot about them you get to know their personality traits quickly and itâs beautiful.
Friendly reminder that you and your thoughts and feelings are VALID. Donât let anyone tell you otherwise â¤ď¸
My parents: you can talk to us about anything with no judgmentâşď¸
My parents when I say anything they donât agree with or donât want to believe: no youâre just a kid whoâs being influenced by whatever social media you have, you donât understand whatâs really going on here.
The Earth: exists
The Corona Virus:
âHow does someone make eye contact with someone else if you can really only focus on one eye?â
-my younger brother, age 11
I donât know who needs to hear this but you are smart and capable of passing all your big tests and classes this semester. â¤ď¸
May 2020 be the year that you actually keep at least one of the resolutions you make :)
Ok but like Iâm the oldest sister in my house and I literally have to get ready with at least 30 minutes to help my siblings because they always come to me like âHELP WHAT DO I WEARâ and âCAN YOU PLEASE DO MY HAIR IT ISNT COOPERATINGâ and âDOES THIS LOOK OKâ and âWAIT I STILL DONT KNOW WHAT TO WEARâ like idk what theyâd do without me at this point.
Inspiration to Be Kindđ
Hereâs some things to inspire you to be kind to others this school year. All of these were learned from personal experiences of being the ânew kidâ â¤ď¸
â˘People who are new at a school always remember the first person to speak to them. (This is true I went to a new school last year and I distinctly remember the first person who spoke to me and what they said, it meant a lot) So yeah donât be scared to talk to new people. đ
â˘When you compliment people, theyâre likely to think about it often on that day and make them happy. (I know this happened to me and a lot of my friends last year) If you admire something about someone just tell themmmm itâll probably mean a lot! Also side note, me and my best friend became friends because she complimented my jeans. You never know whatâll come out of a compliment!đ
â˘Smiles go a long way. (As a previous new kid, I can say that smiles made me so much less nervous and more calm idk it was just nice) Never underestimate little things like smiles. They go a long way. đ
Guys please donât be afraid to reach out to new people/freshman this year at school. Speaking from experience, weâre nervous and sometimes (probably) lost and feel kinda lonely. Being kind in general helps out a lot. â¤ď¸
(Side note - these apply outside of school as well. :))
How To Get On a Teachers Good Side
Written by a âTeachers Petâ.
Alright so this past year I learned the secrets to being the teacherâs fav so I thought Iâd share for those who aspire for their teachers to like them. đ Iâve got 3 main points.
â˘SMILE. Kids these days never smile in class. Iâm a super smiley person. It comes naturally. But all the teachers who loved me, commented on how it made them happy to see someone in their class smile for once.
â˘Try. Thatâs it. Just try. Youâll stand out since a lot of people donât even try in teachers classes. A lot of students think you have to be a straight A student for the teacher to like you but thatâs not true. Just do your best and theyâll appreciate it.
â˘Be Kind. A lotttt of teachers get hated on. So actually treating them like a person and asking how they are and things like that make a difference in their lives. They notice.
Itâs that simple guys. Enjoy being the teacherâs favorite this school year. âđť
Back to School Advice
So, school is starting soon so I thought Iâd give some tips for anyone going back to school! Particularly high school, but most of these can probably be applied for middle school or whatever too. :)
1. DO! YOUR! WORK!!!!!! âď¸
I literally canât stress this enough. I know itâs hard, trust me I do. But even if youâre awful at the subject give it your best shot, and turn it in. Especially big projects. Itâs never too late to start working hard in school and it PAYS OFF.
2. Pay Attentionnnn đ
Paying attention to the teacher in class is keyyyy. If you want to succeed, give the class your best shot and listen to what the teacher is saying.
3. Ask Questions! âđť
Even if you just have a simple question, donât be afraid to ask! Most teachers (at least good ones) donât mind your questions and actually welcome them! Plus the odds of your classmates having the same or similar question is very high. So just go for it and ask the question. Trust me.
4. Get Help if You Need it! đ
There is absolutely NO SHAME in asking for help. If a subject just isnât your thing and your teacherâs method of teaching isnât working, get help. Ask a classmate for help or get a tutor if your school offers it! Your grades will thank you.
5. BE. YOURSELF. â¤ď¸
Thereâs so much pressure in schools to be someone else. But let me tell you, youâre perfectly fine the way you are. And if youâre genuinely yourself, youâll attract other people who like you for who you are. Last year I was worried about mean people making fun of me. But think of it this way, if people that you donât like approve of something youâre doing, youâre probably doing something wrong. So just be confidently you.
How To Have a Fun Summer
Hello all! :)
So Iâve been having an amazing summer so I thought Iâd give you all some tips on how to have some fun just around your house/community.
1. Go Out for Ice Cream!đŚ This is a summer must. Text your bestie and go grab some ice cream! Itâs so much fun in the summer.
2. Read Good Books! đ Now, I know lots of people donât enjoy reading, but I am a firm believer that you just need to find the right book. Hereâs some of my suggestions. The Chaos Walking series (Si-Fi), Keeper of the Lost Cities series (fantasy), Caraval (Si-Fi/Fantasy).
3. Serve Somewhere! đ¤ I HIGHLY recommend this to everyone. Find a day camp or an organization that sparks your interest you can volunteer at this summer. I volunteer to work with kids every year and itâs the highlight of my summer.
4. Learn to Do Something New! đ Learning something new really gives you something to do in the summer. Not only does it take up some of the time you sit bored, but it makes you feel more accomplished. Some suggestions I have are playing a new instrument (I personally love piano and ukulele), learn to make friendship bracelets, or trying out calligraphy.
5. Go Outside! đ˛ Itâs always great to get outside on a nice summer day. Even if you donât have an âexciting backyardâ you can always find something. Some things i personally do is eat my meals outside, read outside, or even relax in a hammock and take a nap. Whatever it is, make it you. Fresh air is amazing. :)
I hope you found at least one thing youâd like to do this summer on this post! Summer is such a fun time, make sure you enjoy it! â¤ď¸
