how do you differentiate normal customer service from CS when they suspect u of shit? i hadnt concealed anything on the floor but i was picking up a lot of stuff i guess :/

normal CS - can i start a hitting room, do you need help with anything, telling you about sales or maybe stuff they like

sus CS - would you like me to take that product to the register, did you want x to match (product in your bag), would you like me to hold your purse at the register, would you like a bag to hold that (item in bag), incessant (like, abnormally excessive) attempts by the SA to talk to you, being followed a lot

Okay question: I was at Abercrombie today and literally everything is tagged, so I took a pile of jeans into the fitting room, untagged the two I wanted, and pinned the tags into the pockets of two other pairs. I always pin them into pockets because I’m afraid they’ll fall out if I put them in the pockets unpinned. But I feel like once they find that pair with the tag in the pocket, it’s super obvious that someone was lifting and they’ll look to see who tried on those pants. So whenever I have to do something like this, I don’t go back to that store for at least a month. 

So anyway, does anyone have a better method of getting rid of tags in stores that tag literally all of their clothes? I can’t think of anything.

Take a coffee cup in with you that’s full and put them inside. Then as you are casually browsing on your way out and putting back things you didn’t lift casually leave the cup somewhere for them to throw away.

I used to work for a&f. If you pin the sensors to the pocket and fold them like how you got them, SA’s won’t notice and will put the jeans back where they’re supposed to go. It would be hard to pinpoint who double sensored, as there is only one LP per district (like 5-8 stores). I’m not saying be sloppy, but loss prevention is not as advanced as it should be. If you’re comfortable making a booster cup, you can line an empty disposable coffee cup (including the lid) with 5+ layers of foil, and put the tags in there to take with you and throw away outside the store. This way, the SA doesn’t pick up a rattling cup of tags and report it to the manager. This disrupts and deflects the radio frequency from reaching the tags
