How to Make Soap at Home (Even if You Failed Chemistry)Â via Food52
5 Ways to Make Your Shower Magical
So, you donât have a bathtub or the time to take an arduous bath. Youâd like to do something mood-lifting and positive but honestly feel a little lazy (and maybe a little gross, too). The good news is, you can still be indulgent and just as magical with a good shower.
1. Make DIY shower disks with various herbs and essential oils. Not only will the steam improve your health, but the ingredients can have magical properties as well.
2. Steep the herbs you would put in your bath in a pail of warm water and rinse yourself with the brew post-shower. Many herbal rinses also offer tons of benefits for the skin.
3. Choose soap with intent. You can use bar soap (either DIY or store-bought) or handmade body wash. Looking to be energized? Try a minty eucalyptus soap. Need to unwind before bed? Go with a chamomile and lavender wash. Be sure to use ingredients that match your purpose!Â
4. Use a purposeful body scrub. Rub away bad energy and dead skin with recipes for purification and protection, energy, stopping gossip, glamour, recovering from violation, preventing unwanted touching, removing bad energy, romance, self love, luck, or create your own recipe.Â
5. Finish it off with a body oil post-shower. In addition to their various skin benefits, different oils have different mythological, magical, and aromatherapeutic connotations. Use coconut oil or olive oil for purification and protection, almond oil for prosperity, apricot kernel oil or avocado oil for love, or sunflower oil for energy. Add a drop of an essential oil for even more magic.Â
Sea Witch Bath
Maybe youâre a landlocked sea witch, maybe youâre looking for a setting to commune with your ocean deity, maybe you just feel like pampering yourself like a mermaid. Weâve got the bath spell for you.
First prep the bath mixture. Youâll need:
1 part sea salt
1 part epsom salt
1 part kelp powder
½ part baking soda
essential oil of rosemary
Combine all the ingredients in a jar, then charge the mixture under the full moon. Store with a piece of moonstone when not in use.
For the spell youâll need:
the sea witch bath mixture
muslin bag or old pantyhose
variety of candles
sea related trinkets (i.e. seashells, sea glass, mermaid offerings, etc.)
jasmine or eucalyptus incense
Arrange your trinkets and candles around the rim of the bathtub, then light the incense and candles. While waiting for the bathtub to fill with warm water, place a cup of the bath mixture into the muslin bag or pantyhose and tie it shut. Make sure theres enough room in the bag for when the kelp expands. Drop it into the bath water, then soak until you feel youâve absorbed all the energy out of the bath.
Enjoy your soak, all you lovely sea witches~
Love Scrub
this scrub is great for when you feel like you need a little extra boost of self love in your life, it has a shelf life 4 months.
½ cup olive oil
1/3 cup honey
1 cup salt
Dried rose petals
Dried RosemaryÂ
sugar (optional)
red food coloring (2 drops)
mortar and pedestalÂ
grind up your herbs and then mix the herbs, olive oil and honey together in a bowl. Gradually mix in the salt.Â
Continue to mix until the oil is mostly absorbed into the grains, it will be very think in consistency. if it is not doing this after a few minutes add salt or sugar in small increments until itâs a gritty oily paste ( Note you will need less salt/sugar if using a finer grain salt and more for larger grain).
Add 1 drop of red food coloring and mix well.Â
store in a jar until ready for use.Â
To use, scoop about a tablespoon of the scrub into damp hands and gently massage between your hands then scrub your body in circular motions. feel free to let it sit a bit. once the salt crystals have mostly dissolved then its time to rise.

Shower Disks for Attracting love
So you have seen our lovely bath magic spells but you cannot take a bath. Maybe you donât have a bath in your current residence, maybe you are physically unable to use bathtubs, maybe youâre just super stretched for time but want to get in some extra magical umph. Recreational Witchcraft is here for you.
Shower disks are traditionally used in the aromatherapy world to relieve congestion and other flu-symptoms while showering via the use of essential oils, but we will be bumping up their magical potential.
Basic recipe:
1 cup baking soda
1 tablespoon corn starch
1/3 cup of water
Muffin tins and muffin liners
Attracting Love:
vanilla extract
essential oil of jasmine
essential oil of ylang ylang
apple seeds
1 lavender flower
pinch of cinnamon
Combine baking soda and corn starch (making sure there are no clumps), then slowly add in the water. Fill lined muffin tins about third of the way, then add in dry herbs and spices. Leave out to dry for at least 24 hours. Carefully take disks out of the liners, add your essential oils, and place your disk somewhere in your shower that will allow them to dissolve slowly while you shower. Bam, youâre done.
Note: This spell should not be used to circumvent consent or change someoneâs will. Do not send us messages about the ethics of love spells.Â

Scorpio: eyes and nails are dark and caked in black, frequents graveyards and learns from the ghosts and crows, solitary witch who makes friends with bones, will help you learn what you want to know for a price, is afraid to sleep, quiet and haunted, is reborn each new moon, is full of knowing and fog and promise, takes a lock of hair from all they help, you feel them in your core

THIS IS SO FREAKING ACCURATE WHAT
@shelby-melissa @graintaire Well, mineâs accurate.Â
lol. Iâm pretty sure Iâve reblogged this before. Iâm a Taurus. And it is somewhat accurate. I am a collector of things. But I let my fiance run the kitchen lol.
Witch Tip (Fact)
Never feel less of a witch because you cant afford herbs, essential oils, stones, candles! Real magic doesnt come from ingredients but from within. If you got a clear, strong intention, you are exactly where you need to be, you can cause a whole thunderstorm without even a drop of sea water!Â
Your will is the ultimate source of magic!
Pro Tip
this one is for all you baby witches out there
Donât let traditionalists tell you that your craft is wrong, or weak for being modern and eclectic. Your craft is just as strong, maybe even stronger, because you are connecting with and building your craft around yourself and your own energy.Â
Autumnal witchcraft series - Part 1: Plants & Beverages
Look for people with strong personalities. Are they confident in their habits? Do they display distinct qualities that most people do not possess? Do you know the person rather well? If so, this person may be a good candidate for analysis. On the other hand, does the person tend to act like everyone else? Is the person shy? Is the person quiet?
