hello everyone, and welcome to the 4th year of seren abaru's selfshiptober event! for those who are unfamiliar, selfshiptober is a halloween-themed, prompt-based creation event for selfshippers of all kinds. each day of october has two prompts assigned to it. these prompts are used to inspire you to create something for your selfship. you are free to either combine the two prompts together, create something for them separately, or choose just one to create for. the spooky prompts tend to be a bit on the darker side and probably won't appeal to most, so if you'd like to only use the first set of prompts and completely ignore the second, be my guest! on that note, you are free to interpret, combine, and alter these prompts however you'd like. there are no strict rules. you may do whatever feels best for you!

while this event is centered around the halloween month, participants are not only allowed, but encouraged to stretch it out into november and december as to avoid burnout! your works will still "count" for the event as long as you post them before the new year. you do not have to force yourself to complete everything in the span of 31 consecutive days.
