Hi there! We have a lot of stuff going on this month! :D
First off, this month’s Gathering has started!
The nominations for our seasonal RPer/Artist contests end September 15th. If you haven’t nominated anyone yet, get those in before then!
We have a banner contest going on through September 7th.
We’re also running an advertising contest all month. Earn freshkill and maybe even a gift card!

a lot of people tend to confuse cats showing their belly for belly rubs, but it’s actually only something dogs do, for cats its a sign of respect and trust, they are not expecting to get pet, so when they do it’s not uncommon they get startled or think its play fight, of course there are expectations and some cats who ADORES belly rubs

Sick of Tumblr blocking your posts in search because they have external links to your portfolio, patreon, twitter or whatever? Yeah me too.
But there’s a way around it!
FIRST > Edit / customise your theme (the desktop version, aka the actual HTML and CSS junk) Find this button:
Add your page like you would for other pages! Except on the drop down select “Redirect”!
The insert on the right is what will appear on the preview side on the right. Here I’ve put in my twitter! Fill it out and give the page URL something lowercase and easy to remember (like /twitter)
Post your stuff how you would normally. Unfortunately using the bottom left ‘source url’ button on the image as usual itself still gets censored (seriously fuck you Tumblr what the fuck).
Link your sites as you would normally EXCEPT we use the tumblr link (for me it’s the above!). If you use a domain name, you WILL need to use your tumblr URL rather than yourname.com/redirect ! This will link people to my twitter but still show up in /tagged/ and /search/
Your stuff will now should show up! This doesn’t seem to work for editing older posts but I haven’t tested that out fully.

LYCI FOUND A WORKAROUND TO THE PROBLEM!!!!! spread this to raise awareness on how tumblr users can keep using the tag/search engine to their advantage.
ATTENTION ARTISTS: Need help calculating your commission prices?
A tool that I’ve found is really handy is a called the Cash Clock. It’s a simple program that measures both the time that you’re working on a piece as well as how much money you should be earning. You can adjust the hourly wage to whatever you feel is right. Simply start the clock whenever you begin working on a project right up until you’re finished. It can give you a clear indication of what you should charge for commissions.
No artist should make below minimum wage for their artwork.
