My god I hate passive aggressive tone
BITCH SAY IT TO MY FACE
What do you mean they assassinated Suvendu Adhikari's PA wtf
WHY. WHY CAN'T THIS FUCKING STATE EVER BE NORMAL ABOUT ELECTION RESULTS
I am so fucking scared
I don't know where this is heading
But everything is going downhill and it is so suffocating
I don't know whether to rage or to mourn
I know I am in no position to bitch and moan considering the fact that I am in a much more privileged position than many others. But somehow the recent incidents and all the ongoing affairs around the world makes me feel so helpless . I feel like a fucking spineless coward complaining in a fucking social media platform unable to stop anything from happening, unable to actually do anything worthwhile.
I know I am depressed because I am back here :-|
I have so many mixed feelings about yesterday's results. I hate TMC, truly they disgust me. I was an intern doctor resting after my 36 hours of night duty when news about the R G Kar rape case broke out. I still remember the fear in my parents' eyes when I woke up in the evening and they were so scared to even tell me about what happened because they feared it would break me (but of course, the news got too big to be hidden). I was in the frontlines of the months of protests that unfolded following the incident. Everyday, I woke up wondering what if it had been me? The night Abhaya was murdered, the last thought on my mind as I went to catch an hour of sleep in the resident's room was "oh shoot, i forgot to lock the door, no one will hear my screams if someone comes in and smothers me while I am assaulted but I am too tired to go and lock it now." LITERALLY it could have been me instead of Abhaya if someone had those intentions. The similarities in our situation scares me even today.
TMC had to go. There are no questions about it. They were corrupt, divisive, murderous, dictatorial, misogynistic. What happened in R G Kar and how they tried to shield the rapists in the following days, that action alone meant they had to go. A government that shields criminals is untenable.
But.... the BJP isn't better than them. They are all of the things that TMC are and perhaps worse. They are casteist, divisive, misogynistic (they literally garland rapists, do I need to say more), transphobic (the transgender amendment act is in blatant violation of Article 21 and the NALSA judgement), homophobic (government argued "constitutional morality" cannot be used to strike down religious beliefs and used the decriminalization of Section 377 as an example), corrupt as hell. I mean, just turn on any national news channel and tell me if this is what journalism in a free, democratic nation should sound like? When was the last time you heard any news about the Manipur violence? It's still ongoing by the way. A government that can't be criticised is not a free and fair government. They are systemically eroding the Right to Information Act and the government is becoming more opaque than ever. There are so many other things, I don't think I can possibly cover every thing in a single post.
"Give BJP a chance in WB!" I have eyes and ears, I can conclude how the governance for the next 5 years is gonna unfold in West Bengal seeing their track record in the Centre and other states.
So no. I can't celebrate this ousting of TMC today because when I look at who we voted in place of them, I shudder.
The BJP goons have already started vandalising.
I THOUGHT YOU ALL VOTED FOR CHANGE RIGHT?
The top TMC gunda and murderer in my area just joined BJP a few hours ago while the counting was still ongoing. So much for "change." I mean, I knew it would happen but the speed of it is laughable
You all are delusional if you think you have voted for change. This was bound to happen.
When I said I wanted change, I did not mean this shit.
You all basically replaced trash with garbage
I am so done with all of this shit!!
Obviously Bjp is going to win
BECAUSE YOU ALL WERE BUSY BEING FUCKING APOLITICAL!!!!
Your political conscience starts and ends with social media
What else were you all expecting ???
I was already having a breakdown over my exams. Then my father asked me to show him how to use his new phone.
Now I want to throw myself off a cliff
ZOHRAN MAMDANI HAS TAKEN OVER MY LIFE!! I AM NOT KIDDING
look I have nothing against the guy, love him but I need him to stop appearing in my DREAMS!!
And when I say dreams I don't mean in a hot , sexy kind of way
THIS MAN IS MY FUCKING SLEEP PARALYSIS DEMON
HE CONTINUOUSLY POPS UP IN BETWEEN RANDOM UNRELATED DREAMS ASKING ME TO VOTE FOR HIM.
SIR I WISH I COULD BUT I CANNOT !!! CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR WIN BUT PLEASE LEAVE ME, PLEASE LET ME SLEEP

So we are not going to remain silent. We will take to the streets and raise our voices. The authorities will listen to us, they have to
Didi, forgive us, we could not give you security. But we will give you justice.
One of the biggest rallies in Kolkata that was not called by any political party. Students, doctors, professors, citizens, everyone showed up.
Who will fight this battle? You and me, who else?
I am so done with this state! It's a fucking joke! Mamata conducted a rally demanding justice for RG Kar when it is her party safeguarding those criminals. Who the fuck is she protesting against? Also, she called the attack on RG Kar a work of the opposition, when it's very clear who did this. She stood there on the stage, sprouting nonsense, while several known female faces or so-called celebrities (who didn't bother to make a single post or comment on the incident) just stood there listening to all that bullshit. I don't know how to feel about anything that is happening right now. I am tired of all these political parties using such a heinous incident to fulfil their selfish interests. I am tired of people voting for Mamta. I am tired of the so-called educated overlooking the problems that are there in the state government. Just because CM is a woman doesn't make this state progressive and safe for us. I am so done with Kolkata and West Bengal. I don't have any hope left. MAMATA DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THE WOMEN (OR ANY ONE TO BE HONEST) OF WEST BENGAL. TMC IS NOT THE LESSER EVIL OR A LIBERAL PARTY. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEMSELVES AND ARE COMPLETELY RUINING THE STATE. IT'S HIGH TIME PEOPLE START ACKNOWLEDGING THIS.
PS: Please don't send me messages telling me how Bengal should give a chance to Bjp. They are the same! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT WOMEN OR COMMON PEOPLE. They are NEVER THE RIGHT ALTERNATIVE.
The TMC goons vandalised PG Kar Hospital, the emergency ward, the seminar room, everything!! They attacked junior doctors and tried to enter the hostels. Bullets were fired and tear gas bombs were thrown. These TMC hooligans hijacked a peaceful protest and vandalised the crime scene. Enough is enough; the ruling party is safeguarding the perpetrators. It is high time!! Mamata needs to go!! It's nothing but Gunda Raaj right now!
They keep deleting palestinians blogs holy shit

Terror attack in J&K, how do you look at this situation? Hope you're unbiased here. Hope you're updated on the news 🙂
y'all really need to stop with these passive aggressive attacks. what happened in reasi is horrible and the terrorists must be dealt with as soon as possible. but this does not have anything to do with the ongoing genocide and comparing this to rafah just shows that you cannot look beyond religion. because terrorism is terrorism irrespective of religion and people from every religion can be victims. please stop this what aboutism.
so weird that the prime minister did not speak up about the deaths of pilgrims in reasi.
.....while he's busy thanking western "powers" he's still silent about jammu.
This is the first “severe” cyclonic storm to hit the Bay of Bengal coast during the 2024 pre-monsoon season.
More areas and populations have been affected in Assam, which is the most populous state in the country’s northeast. So far, 11 people have lost their lives and 600,000 people including over 78,000 children across 11 districts have been affected. An estimated 68,600 people have sought refuge in 187 relief camps.
The southern districts of the state, including the Barak Valley, have suffered more than the other regions. Landslides, floods and erosion have been reported from here and nearly 250,000 people are affected. Several trains have been canceled due to the rising water level in the rivers across the state. Additional personnel from the NDRF have been airlifted to the Barak Valley region to bolster the rescue and rehabilitation operation.
Mizoram has been affected more by landslides and storms than flooding. At least 29 people have been killed there with the highest toll reported from the capital city of Aizawl. Local NGOs such as the Melthum Local Council and Young Mizo Association have joined hands with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) for rescue and rehabilitation measures.
Chief Minister Lalduhoma has announced an allocation of 150 million Indian rupees ($1.8 million approximately) to the SDRF. Families that have lost kin in the disaster are being paid $4,792 each.
Meghalaya and Tripura have suffered less devastation compared to the other states in the northeastern region. Meghalaya reported five deaths and close to 5,000 people have been affected by storms and landslides. A portion of National Highway-6 that connects the state to Assam has collapsed near Lumshnong as storms and rains caused landslides. Transportation in the region has been severely disrupted. Vehicles were seen stranded in videos on social media.
In Tripura, around 2,500 people were rendered homeless and more than 550 houses were damaged due to the incessant rainfall, flooding and thunderstorms. Those rendered homeless have been lodged at 30 relief camps in different districts of the state. Sepahijala, Gomati, Dhalai and Khowai districts were affected the most by the cyclone. According to an official estimate, about 397 hectares of cultivable land belonging to 1,764 farmers were submerged by the flood in different districts.
