everything! this site will walk you through downloading the ryujinx switch emulator, the firmware and keys needed, and the nsp game file for tomodachi life ltd.

is this safe?

the files are all directly downloaded from this site, so there's no third party to worry about. i didn't make this site - it was created by @blorblegoop , who recently contacted me with this post on their blog addressing security concerns. they scan all the files themself before hosting. i scanned my own pc after downloading as well, and it all came up clean! but it’s good to be aware of pc safety, especially when pirating. it can’t hurt to do your own scan to be sure!

how much pc knowledge do i need for this?

you should know how to download files, how to make and manage folders in file explorer, and how to navigate a program's settings menu.

any settings i should change in ryujinx?

here's some i recommend checking before starting the game:

for tomodachi life specifically, make sure you set a timezone in settings! you can have it match your pc's time for simplicity.

there are ostensibly keyboard controls, but they're a little wonky to figure out. if you can, plugging in any controller should work just fine. just make sure to select it in ryujinx's input settings! (you should also still be able to use your mouse for things like drawing facepaint!)

graphics settings will be on a per-pc basis, depending on your pc's strength. it's worth it to experiment with them and see what gives you the best performance. ryujinx will explain what each setting does if you hover over it!

the game crashed?

that's very likely to happen! on first time loading a scene, the emulator can sometimes struggle. it happened to me the first time i opened the mii editor, and the first time i opened the news station. you should be able to relaunch and everything will be fine. if it's happening super frequently, though, you may need to adjust your graphics or cpu settings!

a sixth thing i didn't think of?

Look. I think more than a few of us here agree that Law is a total moronsexual and Cora is a moron of the highest degree. However, I strongly believe Cora's military background is a criminally underexplored source of his moronic behavior. Have you seen the kind of shit enlisteds get into when they're 18 and in a hyper-masculine, hyper-stupid, hyper-homoerotic pressure cooker?! Law is not ready. Even the tamest of nonsense by Cora's standards makes Law feral. To whit:

Breakfast on the Tang is usually an understated affair. Much of the crew shares Law's fondness for staying up too late, and the rest get so fucked up on the lack of sunlight during a dive that they give up on any pretense of having a sleep cycle approximately forty-eight hours in. Usually, it's a meal dominated by silence as everyone communes with their caffeine source of choice and regrets their prior decisions.

Today's breakfast on the Tang, however, is quiet only because nobody wants to piss their captain off and potentially risk losing shore leave. They'd surfaced a few hours ago, so the news coo had already been by, and Rocinante has his head buried in the paper. With how infrequently they surface, it's a rare treat to get information on what's going on in the wider world. Thus, he's broadly ignoring the way the crew is shuffling and whispering and digging elbows into each others' ribs so he can focus on finding out the specifics of the chaos Luffy is causing this time.

"Um, Captain?" Bepo pipes up, the usual sacrificial lamb. "Sorry, but it's going to take thirty-six hours for the log pose to reset..."

There's a round of excited hissing through the mess, followed by small yelps and grumbles of pain as they regulate each other. Rocinante doesn't lower the paper, but he stops reading as Law, standing above him with his chin on top of Rocinante's head and his forearms resting on Rocinante's shoulders, ostensibly to also read the paper, sighs.

"Half day shore leave," he says shortly. The following cheer cuts off abruptly after Law raises his hand. "Safety briefing first," he adds, and based on the tone of the words, Rocinante can imagine the look on his face. Eyes narrowed threateningly and a dark cloud hovering over his countenance. It's adorably fierce, like a kitten arching all puffed-up, and Rocinante mourns not being able to see it.

"Boo!" Shachi razzes. He's feeling brave today, apparently.

"Let the Chief Morale Officer do it," Penguin piles on.

Apparently both of them have already forgotten the last time they experienced what Law called full-body dehiscence, which coincidentally was on the day that they had given Rocinante said title and the justification for it (he fucks you into a better mood, captain, which is great for crew morale!).

"Yeah! Let Roci do it!" "Come on, Roci! Do the briefing!" "Brief-ing! Brief-ing! BRIEF-ING!"

Rocinante folds the top half of the paper down enough that he can look over it. He's greeted by twenty-one shining faces staring in breathless anticipation. Safety briefing, huh. He's heard more than a few of those in his time. He considers some of the highlights from his favorite sergeant and picks the one that he thinks will offend Law the least.

"Shore leave safety briefing," he says, clipped, and the excited expressions melt away into confusion at the unfamiliar Navy cadence in his voice. "Don't add to the population. Don't subtract from the population. Don't end up in the sick bay, newspaper, or Impel Down. If you do end up in Impel Down, call Strawhat. I'm not going back in there for you, and I promise you're going to have an even worse day if Law has to come get you. Have a good time."

The mess is so quiet that Rocinante has to check if he's accidentally cast a Calm. No; they're just stunned. Unease crawls in his stomach. Did he fuck up? Do they not like the reminder that he's ex-Navy? He tips his chin back to look up at Law.

Law's staring down at him with pink high in his cheeks and his eyes wide and crazed. Rocinante opens his mouth to ask what did I do, but Law slaps a hand over it. "What he said," Law says, thin, and then there's another hand fisting heavily in the scruff of Rocinante's shirt. "And make it a full day of shore leave." Law lifts the hand muffling him to spread his first three fingers, and Rocinante is halfway through saying "I'm sorry--" when the Shambles hits.

He yelps in anticipation of hitting the deck but is relieved to fall into something soft. Law's already slung himself to sit on top of Rocinante's chest with his knees pinching ribs tight in a threat to not move. His hands are curved around Rocinante's cheeks, and he's leaned down so close that his thunderous expression is all Rocinante can see.

"You," Law says acidly, the tips of his ears now as red as his cheeks, "are a fucking moron."

"I'm sorry?" Rocinante says weakly. It seems like a safe bet.

Law growls, enraged, and lunges down to bite a furious kiss into Rocinante's lips. Rocinante makes an alarmed and questioning noise, but it doesn't stop Law, and he decides the better part of valor is not complaining about being made out with, no matter how baffling the whole situation is.

"Why are you like this," Law demands between kisses.

"Because-- I-- Law, take it easmmmmph-- OW!" Law's so frantic he's going to hurt one of them if he doesn't calm down. Rocinante makes an executive decision and muscles himself up, curves an arm around Law's back, and flips them over.

Law's lips are kiss-bitten red and wet. Rocinante has to drag his eyes away from them. "What's gotten into you?" he asks. "Did I do something wrong?"

"You're an idiot," Law seethes as he tangles his fingers in Rocinante's hair and uses the grip to pull them together for another consuming kiss. "Now hurry up and fuck me!"

(Rocinante doesn't get any shore leave at all on that island, but he's not mad about it. Neither is the crew, who give him a variety of subtle back-pats and little gifts they bought for him using their extra half day of leave once they're sailing again.)

Law reaches over to take the lipstick tube from Rosinante with gentle, delicate fingers, even as he glares at the uncapped end like it personally offends him. The sight is so adorable, Rosinante can’t help but let go of some of the tension on his shoulders. For a second, he imagines what Law would look like covered in lipstick kisses, and a possessive little thrill rushes down his spine, makes heat pool low in his belly. Perhaps the makeup is an idea worth revisiting at some point in the future.
