I made a simple syrup with local calamondins and grapefruit, and a not so local lemon. It tastes EXACTLY like Tang if Tang had had ever seen the inside of an actual fruit. I dub it Ptang! I made these shoes for my son last night, but I made them from a pattern I made on Christmas and his feet have grown hugely since then! If anyone wants them I'd take 20 bucks. The soles are a little over five inches, so they're a baby size 6, 6.5 which is supposed to fit tots up to 2, but my child already has my hobbit traits. Made of soft, thick, eggplant purple bison leather with turquoise thread, and elastic sewn in around the ankle. I can finally post these since the people they were a surprise for got their gifts! My brother ordered this wallet and the earrings for a couple of his dearest friends. He wrote the words on the map image and I transferred it to the leather to keep his handwriting and added the compass rose to fill the length of the surface. The earrings are on discs of thick veg tan leather but are super light for their size. Carnival is finally over, so it's back to work! These are actually from Monday before last, I finally stole a little time for myself and went to #7thwarddrawinggroup for some #figuredrawing. It was good, but I'm still super rusty and it shows. I gotta make it to some sort of #lifedrawing more than once every few months. Finally got the finish the sparkly red #skull #mask and wear it out for the #boxofwine parade! I also made a crown/veil situation that was only mildly annoying to parade in. All of it was better than wearing a wig, which of course I'm doing for my Mardi Gras #costume tomorrow.

I'm pretty impressed with #wolfefx water based face paint. It decently survived 6 hours of hard drinking, super sweaty crowds, and tons of dancing at #bigdickshouseofbigboobs. Not bad! I really like Frankenstein inspired stuff and painting on skateboards, so this was best of both worlds! So I can't actually remember which of the fire goblin masks I have laying around, but I love them and am always happy to remake one. I definitely have the pink goblin ball mask though. If you wear glasses, the bottom left mask is specifically for you! The small strip of leather rests above glasses nose pads to hold the mask in place against your face, and then the mask nose piece goes over the glasses bridge to hold the mask to your glasses. Almost five years ago when I first came to New Orleans I was in an awesomely manic creative space and just making things constantly. This is the sketch, based off my tattoo which was based off an 18th century anatomically improbable alligator engraving, that I turned into my first bleach stencil t shirt. I love my derpy dragongator and want to find the mylar stencil I made and stick him on more stuff!

Super old piece (13 years?) done as a present for a friend who loved her some Alyson Hannigan. I hadn't even watched BTVS yet, but I ended up with a folder full of Willow pics trying to find the best ref. I think this just ended up being referenced from a magazine photo. I did end up eventually watching the show and becoming a huge Buffy fan, even though I hated it when I was a teenager and it was still airing. I was a young curmudgeon.

I had a little second hand shop for a while about a lifetime ago and one of my favorite parts was doing the chalkboard sign. I love these guys and their fine romance. I've been wanting to turn them into a two piece necklace for years. ...maybe next year. .
