Starting a collection
Earlier today I made this flag, which was well received on my other social media, so I'm taking it here.
This is a flag for pornography destigmatization. Pornography, both making and engaging with, needs to be accepted as a part of life.
It should not be equated to abusive media, because there's lots of porn that has been made ethically - you can choose individual creators or even fictional art. It should not be treated like some kind of a corrupting substance, it doesn't have any properties that would make it different from masturbating to your fantasies or engaging with some other form of entertainment media. It should not be pushed out of the public spaces, out of mainstream sites.
Pornography and freedom to get involved with it needs to be protected.
Visual symbolism: the center shape is a reference to a video tape. Green heart is for non romantic sexuality destigmatization. Pink stripe above is to emphasize porn creation as a marginalized genders' rights issue, purple stripe below - marginalized orientations'.
i was training a young person at work, and she referred to sexual assault as "SA" out loud, and i immediately was like, "no, it's sexual assault, call it what it is," bc idgaf if the algorithm overlords have taught y'all that you should fear direct language, how tf do any of you expect to ever address real issues with any amount of seriousness if you can't even say the words? imagine an advocate looking a sexual assault survivor in the eyes and asking "did he grape you?" it's absolutely fucking absurd, but these young interns and new hires are coming into an environment where we deal with survivors of all different kinds of abuse, and they're coming with the mindset that the words are as bad as the actions, and that makes them shitty at the job and look juvenile af
i HATE self-censorship for a lot of reasons, but being in crisis work makes it even more frustrating. who are you censoring for? like i am being so fr, WHO are you censoring for? have you even thought it through? people who have been raped know that they have been raped. if someone attempts suicide or is grieving someone who did, saying "sewer slide" isn't going to protect them from any of the feelings. a murder victim's family isn't going to feel better bc you said "unalived" instead of murdered. if anything, it's just extremely invalidating and othering. it's saying "what happened to you is so bad that i won't even say the word," which is NOT trauma-informed care. you are not protecting survivors/victims when you self-censor. the ONLY things you protect when you self-censor are the puritanical ideologies that are being encouraged by rich fascists who want your money and obedience
say the fucking words, guys. just say the goddamn words before i go insane!!!
the worst part of getting into new media is when youre at the stage where youre completely obsessed with it but you cant go through the tags or seek out anything about it bc youre not fuckiny done yet
Summer fime🏖️🎶
i just got the "see where your blood has gone!" email from giving blood but it glitched and just showed me my current location. which. theyre not wrong. that is where most of my blood is
this is exactly how non kinsters sound when they jump into kink discussions to say "yeah! it's fine as long as you're all consenting adults!"
a bad dream?
I’ve been listening to Phoebe Bridgers a lot and I got inspired by Chinese Satellites + a desire to paint. I’m happy it turned out how I envisioned!
Both with and without the text! Hope you enjoy

only reason i havent finished this already is cause im #LAZY
this saturday we like survive and stuff
please be perverted about me in these trying times
idk man I'm thinking a lot about the discourse being reported in this post and my own post about crushes, which has garnered a lot of responses like this one
and I don't know exactly what to do with this yet but I'm fascinated, in a really upsetting way, by the way some of these people seem to conceptualize romantic and/or sexual attraction as an act of violation that no one should do to people they like and care about. if nothing else it raises some really compelling questions about what they think actually goes on between people who have sex and/or romantic bonds with each other if that's not supposed to be something that happens between friends.
normal stuff happening in the replies
oh my god I'm doing patriarchy now
This just in, "having feelings, regardless of how or whether you act upon them, is an aggressive, patriarchal act." 🙄
Saying this as gently as possible: if you have any of the above reactions to finding out that someone has romantic feelings for you, that's on you, not on them, and your reactions are both evidence of trauma and not something you should encourage in yourself. Please seek help and healing.
Oh no thanks, I just finished a book and need 12-24 hours to digest it, can’t start another one too soon you know
You know what
