apparently people don’t actually know this??? idk if it just hasn’t hit US news yet or what but rn in chechnya (a region of russia) it’s been confirmed that they’ve opened actual concentration camps and are sending gay men there. an lgbt network trying to help gay men escape the area confirmed it, stated they’re being tortured there and the government have denied there are even gay men to round up. i haven’t seen anything about this on the dash today depsite some stories being released hours ago so please don’t let this be ignored.

The Trans Lifeline got so many donations in the past 36 hours, its server crashed

Trump’s administration announced on Wednesday that it was reversing guidelines put in place by Obama to protect transgender students in public schools.

Right away, people put their wallets to work, eager to throw their weight behind groups working to help and defend trans kids.

In just 36 hours, the Trans Lifeline — a crisis hotline “by and for” the transgender community — received around $51,000 in donations, Trans Lifeline Director of Communication André Pérez said in an email Thursday. 100° F Classrooms

Elementary school children in La’ie, Hawai’i are coming home sick and covered in heat rashes. La’ie is a small town located on the North Shore of O’ahu, Hawai’i. La’ie Elementary School, the education center for about 700 children, was built in 1895. 

Because of how old it is, the classrooms (including humidity) can reach extremely dangerous temperatures.

In one specific classroom, even at 10:00 AM it can hit 90° with high humidity (Feels like 121°). And that’s not even the hottest classroom. One building can regularly hit 95° with high humidity, which can feel like 133°. 

Keep La’ie Cool is a locally started group that is trying to help lower the temperatures of the classrooms and make them safe for children. Please donate here, Keep La’ie Cool is only halfway to their goal for fundraising. La’ie is a small town and we can’t do it alone! Every donation counts!
