Just saw the messages the guys made in regards to the Grammys. Honestly? Good. Shows like the Grammys are all about what they consider is true music or not. Continually adding different genres just so POC artists don't win the "bigger prizes." It's absolutely ignorant and sickening. For fuck's sake, Latin Grammys exists because the western counterpart refused to acknowledge them for bs reasons.

I know in the beginning the guys found some interests in getting a grammy, but the award show at this point is making it clear that BTS will only be eye candy (for ratings) rather than artists that truly give a shit about their music.

Good on the guys for refusing to act like the Grammys is something worth fighting for. BTS doesn't need a grammy to prove that their music truly transcends every language out there.

In the end, BTS doesn't need a grammy. It's the other way around. The fact that the guys are performing sold out shows (in a few minutes!!) in stadiums is all that matters. Their artistry and hard work they put in is what matters the most.

BTS rejecting a category that was supposedly made for them is honestly the most elegant “fuck you” imaginable. They didn’t spend years breaking barriers, changing the industry, and proving their global impact just to be placed in a separate little box. The message is clear: they don’t want a shortcut, a consolation prize, or a category created to make people feel like they’re being included. They want the same respect, the same recognition, and the same opportunities as everyone else. Scammys really need to understand that representation isn’t about creating a smaller table for artists to sit at. It’s about opening the fucking door.

I really really love them for this. Fuck Grammy and their stupid new category. I hate that whatever group will win it, will forever brag about "getting a Grammy before bts" but honestly I also don't care.
