The beginning

“Huh. So I'm guessing you’re my new roommate?”

Though Brick isn't one to judge and, well, has no right to do so under any circumstances with all he has on his résumé, he can't help but be disturbed by the scene that's been displayed in front of him.

Now for some context, this is the first day of his last year at university and he hopes to let it be smooth sailing and not that big of a fuss that everyone usually makes when it comes to first days. He’s not one to be so joyous and not that people expect him to be but they have unrealistically high expectations when it comes to special occasions but somehow he just cannot bring himself to show sentiment. Not to mention how everyone seems to be making such a big deal about him going to university when he's been for 3 years now and people just can't seem to leave him alone and to his own devices anymore. He's found himself in his fourth-year dorm which he will be sharing with not one of his brothers or friends but this time quite an eccentric scientist.

Not that he minds, after all, his creator was no better and being a monkey on top of that was quite a stretch if he does say so himself; however, he's pleasantly surprised that his roomie is the one and only, teenage prodigy, dexter- and he can't seem to recall his last name but who cares he's here now and he's hungry after the 5-hour flight from Townsville and CLEARLY he's gonna be entertained because his roommate has gotten himself stuck to the window with the weird goo holding him up spread across the entire flat.

“I see you’ve arrived rowdyruff.”

Well perhaps first days aren't always irritating after all.

I can't believe they gave him so much personality in the series and then all of it went down the drain with every movie

I mean I get that they were just trying to put the main focus on hiccup and toothless with their development and the stories over all progression but they should've kept some elements from the two series too considering then perhaps more people would be compelled to watch them

Snotlout is definitely my favorite out of all of them with his sassy attitude but in the movies he just doesn't get the spot light my man deserves 😭

Like istg if dreamworks doesn't release a movie solely based on my beloved then I WILL REVOLT 😾😾

But in all seriousness they coulve at least kept his character development but they decided against it, like they really just kept him as a side character who was fawning over the ladies at every given moment even though in the series we see that he learns his lesson after his interaction with the wingmaidens in that one episode

I'm DROWNING in my sorrows now that there's no more snotlout content 😭😭😭

Like leona is so misunderstood I feel as if he just hides his insecurities under the facade of him giving absolutely zero shits

But at the end of the day leona has little to no value in the hierarchy of the Savannah kingdom he's just a second prince

I think him and jamil share an inferiority complex and the fact that they're both considered second just deepens that fact

Love that catch phrase BUT let's address the actual reason for this post.

They did snotlout so dirty in the third movie regarding his design, like it's not bad but i miss rtte snotlout like bro he was just YES.

Snotlout had so much potential in the series as a character that could grow in personality to great lengths as we could see in the end of the seasons where he finally understands people better instead of going into things blind sighted.

Like I can think of many possibilities for him as even without his dragon snotlout was a very promising viking and alongside hiccup (much to his dismay) he could really achieve a great number of new heights, like after both hiccup and astrid snotlout is arguably the best rider in berk (rtte basis)

Like he's the perfect amount of offense and sarcasm with occasional down to earth talks which proves that he's got a soft spot for the people close to him but he just hides it with his snarky comments

They really did not include anything from the series in the movies like I get why but it could have really proven to be a turning point for his character but NOOO dreamworks just HAD to IGNORE the side characters in the movie and base them off their surface personalities.

I think dreamworks can redeem themselves by making a short film or comic about Snotlout and the other characters that were done BAD

Honestly i think Snotlout was a character that had the most depth in him regarding his family life and personal life that we never saw much of. His macho macho personality goes hard with his shortass. And maybe his soft side can make anyone fall in love

Hello peoples

I’ve finally reached the peek of my httyd obsession meaning-

I HAVE AN OC!!

This is just a rough sketch for now

Okay so her name is Valkyrie she’s from a neighbouring island of berserker island

I’m still in a dilemma whether I should go with her knowing hiccups mom and valka saving her when her parents boat sank (about 7 years old) and valka taking care of her

So when hiccup meets her they’re like siblings and hiccup’s kids love to listen to their aunts stories about their grandma and how fearless and brave she is, and lore wise she gets introduced during the rtte like the gang meets her briefly and gets to know her knowledge regarding dragons (she doesn’t ride one tho) at this time she isn’t aware that valka is hiccups mom because valka never mentioned her son’s name just that she had a son so it’s like she’s made claims about how hiccup reminds her of her own “mother”. However she is absent during the second movie time frame as she’s travelling around to find a rare medicinal herb for the dragons which could possibly counter effect the poison from the dragon eating dragons and upon her arrival in berk is when she finds out that her and hiccup are related not by blood but by mother (so technically she’s adopted but she’s not get it)

And OBVIOUSLY her qoute un qoute love interest HAS to be snotlout but I haven’t decided their story yet probably just him being a muttonhead and he probably just wore her down after 5 years of asking and asking and asking

But I haven’t finalised anything but her design so yes
