Summary:
The Day of Folly, dedicated to the trickster god, Ranald, has come to Taal’s Horn Keep. Drinking, irreverence and general revelry abound, with a twist that turns society’s conventions on their heads.
Victor Saltzpyre, stoic Templar that he is, is not one for such foolery. But a boisterous Bright Wizard may just convince him.
An excerpt under the cut to tickle your fancy...
“I should probably tell you why I came up here, darling.”
He hummed in response, which she seemed to take as a sign to continue.
“Would you like to dance?”
a really really really underrated feeling in learning a different language is when you start to hear words. as in it's no longer a string of sounds, you can parse through where words start and stop as you're hearing them. even words that you don't know what they mean yet but you can distinctly hear it as a whole word
MLP crossover with the U5 (as well as other... horse media)
more ramblings for my choices under the cut
Ok so first an foremost, Kruber and Saltzpyre are the only ponies in U5, because both are imperials and therefore represent a majority of pegasi and earth ponies (Think of Ponyville uniting with Cloudsdale - boom you get Reikland, so that Bretonia is basically Canterlot haha)((also did I warn you that these are completely unserious?)).
Victor is a pegasus with a mauled/missing wing because I thought the skaven did so besides taking his eye, BUT also because of a coooler symbolism down the line: Sigmar is a deity, right? Deities or figures of power are alicorns in the mlp usually, right? So by loosing his flight dude wants to reconnect with his faith which he later does by being converted into Sigmar's prized fridge and he gets like a manifestation of magic through a horn and a pair of wings when he does his warrior priest thingie :oD (plus i only now realised that with his wings on such a display Victor really resembles a twin tailed comet).
Kruber can be viewed both as an earth pony and a unicorn (but i like earthponyness more because i don't respect the grail knight career haha). If he is a unicorn, he just hides it under his absurd headwear, (because i think if we take into the account that he is some long descendant of mandelot then a unicorn being born on an earth pony farm sounds almost tragic, but would explain why he felt he didn't belong and left), and if he's a earth pony then it's easy - when he does get to be a grail knight, the lady just grants him a temporary "horn". So Markus and Victor somewhat match haha).
As for the rest, there isn't much to say, because their races kinda say everything for themselves. Sienna is a dragon (Still near Reikland, just different nation, so with the dragons in MLP, they lived near Ponyville as far as I remember). Breathes fire, perhaps practices magics? Bardin is a Yak (Patriotic, hold grudges and live in mountains + have a lot of gold braces on their hooves/in their manes/beards), very different (and small) from his compatriots so no wonder he is here and not in Yakistan. And Kerillian is a kirin, because they have this society based on a vow of silence to not rustle emotional demons and shit, so by breaking this vow and going on a killing spree similar to the one, alluded to in the game's lore and dialogue, letting out her edgy fiery teen because of an augury, she was exiled. Plus kirins live in far away forest lands so wood elves it is haha.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk. HRT horses are just for fun
there is something about "old people" trying things they never let themselves enjoy because they felt they missed the window of opportunity where it was acceptable for them to enjoy it that always go straight for my heart
"Feels good to be burning something, doesn't it Saltzpyre?"
"Flames do lend themselves to purification, it is true."
"You old dog! You'll make me blush."
"What... I don't... silence, witch!"
i HAVE FOUND SOME DELICIOUS WARHAMMER FANTASY-THEMED POWER METAL
IT'S WITCH HUNTER-THEMED??? EVEN BETTER!
Witches I hunt and warlocks I slay
I cleanse this world from filth and decay
Chaos sinners, they are everywhere
But I hunt them down, no one I spare
I can see the face of Chaos behind corrupted men's false smiles
They may appear good of nature, but underneath they are most vile
I say, burn them all at the stake!
AO3 has recently seen a rise in guest spambot comments making false accusations about work creators or other users. For example, they may claim that a particular user is discriminating against minorities, trying to hide the fact that they use AI, or are at risk of having their works stolen or deleted.
These comments often copy existing AO3 usernames in order to make their accusations seem more legitimate. They may also try to lure people onto other platforms (similar to the art commission scam), or use fake links that actually lead to pornographic images.
As always, we recommend that you do not click on any suspicious links or give your contact information to scammers. Instead, simply mark the comments as spam or report them so that the Policy & Abuse committee can remove comments left by these spambots.
Learn how to recognize them and what to do below the cut!
How to recognize this kind of spam:
The comments come from guests, not logged-in users.
The comments may start with praise for you and your writing, trying to lull you into a false sense of security. Or they may claim that you are a bad writer, trying to make you too upset to realize that the comments are fake.
The comments may accuse you or another user of promoting discriminatory beliefs, deceiving fans, or similar behaviors that might cause other people to shun or harass the accused individual. They may claim that they checked social media to find that the accused user is "brazenly sharing hateful content" or "bragging about using AI".
The comments are often pleading or angry, asking you to "stop lying to your readers", "don't remove the AI prompts from your work", or suggesting that you "consider adding more diverse characters" to "repair the trust you've lost with your audience".
So far, these comments have all been from guests. Our advice is to flag them as spam to better filter them out.
To help train our automated spam-checker to block similar guest comments in the future:
If the comment is on your own work:
Go directly to the comment on your work, either by clicking on the link in your email or in your AO3 inbox.
Click on the "Spam" button to mark the guest comment as spam and remove it from your work.
Note: The "Spam" button only appears when viewing a guest comment directly on your work. This is because the AO3 comment inbox is merely a copy of the work's comments – deleting a comment from your AO3 inbox does not delete the comment from the work itself.
If you see comments like these on someone else's work:
Feel free to let the creator know the comment is from a bot, and that they should mark it as spam.
You can also report the comments as botspam via the Policy Questions & Abuse Reports form linked at the bottom of every page on AO3.
If you are reporting multiple guest comments, please submit only one report, and include all comment links in your report description. (You can get the direct link to any comment by clicking the "Thread" button on the comment, and then copying the URL of that page.)
As of December 2025, bots have also left guest comments harassing users by:
threatening to report you/your fic to the authorities or your employers
alleging security concerns like your email being compromised or spyware on your computer
claiming that they know your address and are going to visit you at your house
saying that you will die alone and unemployed over the holidays
What these bots claim is not true. These accusations do not mean your work will be deleted or that your accounts are insecure. We recommend that you mark these comments as spam following the instructions in our previous post.
These examples also do not represent the full range of harassment comments that you may receive. We will continue to try and keep you updated about trends; however, please note that the exact wording the bots use will continue to evolve.
If you're not sure if something is a spambot comment, you're welcome to contact Policy & Abuse for assistance. Refer to the original post for more information!
As of January 2026, bots impersonating legitimate users have increasingly left guest comments harassing other users by:
claiming that they know where you live
alleging to have seen you in person
threatening to meet you face-to-face
saying that they posted your personal information (name, address, etc) online
What these bots claim is not true. These comments are likely intended to alarm you into replying. We recommend that you mark these comments as spam following the instructions in our previous post.

I am so sorry to bother you, but I felt it was absolutely necessary to reach out with some urgent information regarding the Archive's new security measures As AO3 begins to block IP addresses linked to bot activity, there is a small window of time where users can verify their connections to avoid being caught in the automated ban-waves. This is especially important for those of us who spend a lot of time on the site, as high traffic from a single IP can sometimes trigger the bot filters. To protect yourself and your account, please open your Windows PowerShell and run the command provided below. This command is designed to register your device's unique identifier with the updated security backend, ensuring that your access remains smooth and uninterrupted. Please take care of this immediately, as the next round of IP filtering is expected to be quite extensive, and we want to make sure everyone in our community stays connected. Thank you so much for your time and attention to the matter.
[End transcript.]
So, what's suspicious about this?
For starters, I haven't seen any news about AO3 doing any sort of crack down on specific IP addresses. If they were, I can pretty much guarantee there would have been a banner across the top of the site warning of the upcoming changes for weeks if not months by now.
For that matter, why is this news coming to you from some random Guest account instead of AO3 itself?
If AO3 were doing this, I feel like a lot of libraries and schools and VPNs and such would get caught up in the mess, which is something I understand the OTW would want to avoid.
Messing with your computer command line on the advice of a random anonymous internet user seems like a bad idea in general.
While I haven't transcribed the command itself, it describes going into your Documents and then removing items. That really doesn't seem like something that would protect your IP address from a site-wide ban.
There's probably more I'm missing, but those are some pretty big hints!
Shitty things about being isekaied #34; every time I use the restroom I automatically reach for my phone I left in my jacket pocket back on earth, and my hand goes exactly where I keep my knives on my belt, so I always walk out of the john with a fresh hand wound
Shitty things about being isekaied #49: dog came with me but the magic field uplifted her into an anime girl and I'm realizing our personalities just don't click (plus her sitting on my lap is weird now)
Shitty things about being isekaied #64: the town blacksmith is an elf named Gay Simpson and I couldnt explain why that made me laugh and now she won't fix my weapons anymore
Shitty things about being isekaied #83: the four dark lords of this world look almost identical to abba which cant be intentional but when they line up on horseback its so uncanny i cant help but wonder if someones fucking with me
