That's not the sarcophagus, technically - the "sarcophagus" is the structure hastily built by liquidators after the accident to contain the immediate danger, but it was never meant to be permanent. What we see burning here is the New Safe Confinement, which took over 6 years to build & cost £1.3 billion ($1.6 billion). It was slid in place over the original sarcophagus & is intended to last 100 years - but not if you fire fucking missiles at it.
