Hello there!I was wondering if you could help me out, so I was wondering about he concept of the Queenstrial, especially since it is said that House Merandus is seemingly quite successful in it.I am confused as to why a lady from that house could do to outperform the others?Since Mind Controll isn't exactly a very visually impressive ability

Well, I think Victoria actually answered an ask like this a while back, about how Elara could've outperformed everyone and I don't really remember it very well, but I'm pretty sure it went something like this: "it wasn't pretty".Whispers control people's minds. They basically make people's bodies do one thing while their minds scream to do something else. If they showcased that, like by bringing a Red servant or someone else into their performance... I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard for them to be chosen.And alternatively, they could always win behind the curtains. Plant the idea that their daughter/son is the best choice in the king or queen's mind. That would work really well, especially since Maven is the only Calore so far who thought to have a Silent Stone throne so no one could affect his decisions.I hope this helped! Xx

I just finished Red Queen (book 1) and holy hell wow that was intense!! I think I was pretty much just saying wtf and making inhuman noises towards the end! Just wanted to share my hype! Also I love ur blog!
