Thanks for the tag, @ffigwit :) Here are some factoids aout me!

Last song: Užaugo Liepa - this is a song I'll be singing with a bunch of other women on Saturday with my choir! It's Lithuanian and VERY VERY Elf-coded if you ask me. The title means "Up grew the linden tree". I think Maglor would approve. Currently Watching: Nothing! I don't watch TV or shows very often at all! My ADHD brain can't sit still enough to watch. Current Obsession: My costumes for the renaissance faires this summer... and... Turning the routines I can't seem to stick to into like... fantasy adventure quests. It really helps me. Worth a try! Currently Reading: Technical books in preparation for an upcoming class I will teach in late July. The class will be about teaching electrical apprenticeship instrutctors how to teach the National Electrical Code. Currently working on: The class I'll teach in July - also working on the fourth installment of my little series featuring Thingol, Elrond, Celebrian (and others to remain unnamed for now!) living in Modern Iceland. Also, I'm trying to become a better archer so I have doubled down on taking my longbow out to practice as often as I am able to. Also working on staying at least somewhat mentally healthy during a busier-than-normal time. I'm hangin' in there! Last Google Search: Replacement rice cooker inserts (the one I've had for a long time (but have barely used in the last 10 years) is Teflon and I would like a stainless replacement)

Currently watching: Bones, and trying to catch up on Critical Role on YouTube. Also just finished the new 2026 Count of Monte Cristo and loved it!

Current obsession: does Tolkien count as "current" if I've been here for years and will be until I die? Besides that, the Witch Hat Atelier anime is finally out and looks so beautiful and it's everything I hoped for as a long-time manga reader.

Currently reading: uuuuuuuh rereading... The Count of Monte Cristo lol. Also The Unfinished Tales, and egregious amounts of fanfiction.

Currently working on: finding a new job (*sigh*). And a Turgon-centered re-embodiment fanfic, and a couple of Turgoldo ones (Silmarillion fandom)! Plus the Original Novel but that's not going anywhere fast. Neither is the hypothetical fanwritten Leverage: Redemption season 4.

Last Google search: Matt Mercer roles (talking about him with my father) and, before that, tabards.

Currently Watching : Dungeon Meshi !!, highly recommend this anime, it's something that pulled me back into anime after I ditched watching anime in like 2022. ITS REALLY NICE TRUST

Current Obsession : can't pick between my history obsession, my postcard craze or my video-game addiction, lowkey been into witcher 3 and resident evil esp after resident evil veronica got announced like YESSSS but I'm getting hyped for RE0 remake that will eventually come

Currently reading : switching up between History of the kings of Britons by Geoffrey of Monmouth and constitutional Law because School starts in like a month 😭😭 I am NOT ready for law school bruh

Currently working on : lot and lot of things, I've been making bracelets, creating these cloth dolls and most importantly I've been handwriting my silmarillion annotations into like this analysis kinda thing ? It's around like 93 a4 sheets long but I'm still chapter 4 gang God help me gng

there are many reasons I like the "Erestor son of Caranthir" headcanon but secretly the main one is that I'm imagining all of the remaining noldo auditors sighing of relief when Caranthir dies and they don't have to try play 4d chess with multiverse time travel trying to catch this guy doing tax evasion. life is good for exilic auditors now.

and then suddenly Elrond and Elros turn up again! even better! oh who's this, Elrond? your good friend Erestor? he's helping you with your taxes? oh how swe- what is this Elrond. What is this. your paperwork for your taxes you say. not a declaration of war? because it looks like a declaration of war on the exilic auditors, Elrond.

and then all the auditors are so busy doing "extreme tax auditing™" for the first time since the second Kinslaying that they don't tell anyone they're pretty sure there's another scion of the house of Fëanor running around.
