If ever you struggled with how to hide the necessary pool tile for the sea/pond water mod? I have, and so has my friend @ladyvondolladay. She had an idea, and I made it a reality.
I present to you — the terrain rug. A two poly sheet with terrain paint textures that you can slap over your pool tile and hide it completely. Thank you @picknmixsims for sharing the shader info I needed to make the texture actually blend in this perfectly!
There are recolors to match all 30 maxis terrains, swatch folder is included. I chose to only do full strength, as the combinations quickly get out of hand otherwise. If you are interested in making your own recolors to match custom terrains or common blends you use, I'll include an explanation of how I did it under the cut.
You'll find it in deco/rugs, it costs nothing. 2 poly, textures are 256x256.

Credits: Calibrat who helped me with the names of terrains in English for swatch purposes. LadyVonDolladay for the original idea. @pforestsims who suggested the problem with getting texture to match might be shader related.
The textures were made by taking a screenshot of the terrain painted ground from straight above and at a level of zoom where 1 tile in game measured about 256x256 pixels. By matching the mesh size to the image size I grab, the scale of the pattern remains the same. I included a texture reference image to hopefully make it a little easier to understand what I mean.
I haven't tried with floor tile textures, but I think it would work somewhat well for them too though the mesh is just a smidge bigger than exactly 1 tile.
I've always hated how the camera jumps up and down when playing tall and slim buildings. Turns out, it's really easy to fix! It’ll take you less than a minute. All the details under the cut.
All it takes is opening the LiveCamera.txt file in your Documents>Cameras folder with a text editor and changing these two parameters near the bottom to a higher value. Doesn’t matter if you're using a custom camera mod or not. Those parameters should be there. I have set mine like this (remember to save a backup just in case you don't like these changes).
It might seem a bit extreme, but I still think it’s fine.
-The top parameter, floorheightsamplerange, handles how much the floors “extend out”, so the camera object can stand on it mid-air. The higher it is, the further the floor will extend. This will make it so your camera will be able to stick to the floor you’re on, even if you pan away from the building. No more annoying jumps up and down!
-The parameter below that, floorheightsampleinnerrange, handles the transition between sticking to the current floor and dropping to the ground level once it goes past the edge. The higher it is, the smoothest the fall will be.
I’ll note though that the behaviour of these parameters might not be 100% accurate with how the game actually works, but from what I tested I think it’s pretty close as an explanation. If someone knows better how this Live Camera works, please let me know and I’ll try my best to correct any inaccuracies.
Save the .txt file and check how it works in game. It might feel weird at first, but personally I find it so much smoother and easier to handle. If you’re not happy with these values, close the game and edit those parameters until you find your sweet spot. Unfortunately, you will have to close and open the game every time you change it to check how it works.
There’s so many cool Custom Camera mods out there that I thought it’s probably better to just show how to edit those 2 parameters than editing and reuploading all of them.
So yeah, that’s it. Now you can play those tall lots without getting a headache. Go ahead and send your college simmies to that hideous Sim State Tower with a hot tub on top of it. Now you’ll be able to see what’s going on up there.
Made it for myself, I might as well share. If there's something I've missed please let me know.

Sooo, recently I've found a way to fix (in my opinion) "unfinished", alpha custom content made for TS4. First I tried to remodel a high-poly shirt and copy the UV map from the original to the low-poly one. With this method I was able to decrease the polycount from 19k to 1,8k in 2-3 hours.
After that I tried to figure out a faster method and found an open source auto remesher addon/plugin for Blender which cut the work time in half, 1 hour!
Tried this plugin out with another shirt and I was able to cut down ~8k polies AND keep the quality that the original shirt had!
Then another one!
I honestly don't know what to say. I am convinced now that most TS4 CC creators only make their work to fill their pockets and wallets. I know they say that they do this out of a hobby, but PLEASE, if you put your work behind a paywall, at least make sure it's optimized.
I use a lot of skins. I'm also picky and like all my skins to have fitness states and wrinkles for elders. So here's something I created for myself that others might be interested in as well. More info under the cut.
What this is:
-Remix V2 given new defaults and regeneticized.
-Six of my favorite skins edited and with bodies repositoried to Remix V2 so that they all have fitness states and significant space is saved: Lilith's Eve, Lilith's Bloom, CuriousB's Skin Feeling, Nat's Bambi Expanded, my recolors of Whysims' Misc. Skin 37, and my recolors of Whysims' Misc. Skin 45.
Features:
-Four natural defaults using Remix V2: Light Rose for S1, Sunkissed for S2, Sunheat for S2, and Moonlit Night for S4.
-Alien default with the option of elder wrinkles or not.
-Mannequin default using AlmightyHat's Smoke Bomb action.
-Nine additional recolors of Remix V2 using Trapping's actions.
-Nondefaults are geneticized, but only Remix V2 is townified.
-Teens through elders have fitness states.
-Elders have wrinkles using skin details from LoosiaP and SimNopke.
-All skins feature teeth and tongue textures from SixFootSims.
Specification:
-Everything requires the Remix V2 defaults and customs.
-The repositoried skins use the same package files as the non-repositoried originals. You cannot have both in your game.
-I did not include every swatch from the original skins.
-The faces of the repositoried skins were edited to match the Remix V2 bodies.
-I made some minor edits to the repositoried skins to suit my liking. For example, reducing the shine onthe nose of Whysim's Misc. Skin 45.
-The bodies do not include sexyfeet compatibility. I mean, obviously you can use sexyfeet meshes with them, but there won't be toenails.
Now for some pictures...

A mini-collab between me and @episims 😊 I have a flower meadow in my game that I very much enjoy, and it occurred to me that it really ought to spawn more than one batch of butterflies. So off to make a butterfly version of @pforestsims' Firefly OMSP we went, and here we are!
Butterflies will only spawn during daytime, between 7-19 (7am to 7pm). We set the initiation to vary a little, so that if you have multiple they don't all spawn at the exact same time. Idle duration is BCON tunable, you set the minimum and the random range. By default it'll take minimum 10 minutes, maximum 30 minutes. You can force them to appear immediately by entering and exiting buy/build mode.
We've also added support for season and weather tuning, so you can decide which seasons and weather they should spawn in. Default settings will only spawn butterflies in clear weather, during spring, summer and fall. Active rain, hail, or snow will prevent butterflies, as will snow lingering on the ground.
The object goes invisible automatically in live mode. If you set it invisible manually, it will remember this.
Found in general/misc, costs 0.
Because we made coding changes we decided to include a firefly version that has weather and seasonal support. Fireflies will spawn at night (7pm to 7am) during spring, summer and fall. They are allowed in rain, but not in lingering snow, or active snow or hail. Uses the same GUID as Pforest's original, so only pick one. If you want to keep both you can if you change guid, it is a new object so nothing else overwrites.

A skin palette composed of 9 geneticized & townified natural tones including defaults for S1-4 and a mannequin default. The textures for skins 0-5 and mannequin are based on @whysim Misc Skin 37 and recolors by @h0nkytonkangels; skins 6-8 use @whysims Misc Skin 29 and two of these recolors by @h0nkytonkangels.
Beside the regular set, you also get optional sets of repo’d showerproof skins for a variety of body shapes (in townified and non-townified flavors).
These skins will conflict in some capacity with all the other skin palettes with showerproof add-ons that I’ve made (and with Rusty Spoon V2). Golden Child skins 1-8 and their showerproof counterparts are on the same files as Salt Of The Earth skins 1-8 and their showerproof counterparts, so you can easily interchange them.
Download links and more details under the cut.
• All skins have fit, normal and fat states (EF has the same soft body for normal and fat)
• All have foot details for sexyfeet users
• Most have the same teeth as the ones on these io skins, except skins 2 and 4 which have the teeth from Whysim Misc 37 for variety (honestly the difference is insignificant but I like it in theory so there you go); babies have just gums, toddlers have cute toddler front teeth, elders have slightly yellower teeth
• No tongue textures
• Elders have the original (very) subtle wrinkles
• I edited the bodies in a couple places, most noticeably raised the belly buttons on the fat bodies to the level of those of the normal bodies
• All skins are geneticized from lightest to darkest with their genetic values indicated at the end of each file name (e.g. _0.08, _0.1, _0.2…).
Download: SFS / Mega
The download contains the regular set as well as the repo’d showerproof sets for bodyshapes.
The folder entitled “Leto_SkinPalette_GoldenChild” is required for the showerproof sets to work.
The showerproof sets are entirely optional and only matter if you care about custom bodyshapes. More info on that under the “2. The showerproof skins” on this post.
If you do want one or more of the showerproof sets, the required meshes are included - you’ll have to choose between several options for pretty much all of them (blockfeet/sexyfeet, etc). Also remember to choose if you want your showerproof skins to be townified or not.
📣 The sets titled “_AndroF-AMTr” and “_AndroUF-UMTr” conflict with each other: choose the former if you want your teens to keep their Maxis shapes, choose the latter if you want them to have trans shapes as well.
📣 The sets titled “_MartaXL” and “_MartaXL-MFM” conflict with each other: choose the former if you want your TM-EM sims to keep their Maxis shapes, choose the latter if you want them to have the Melodie9 fat male body shape.

With this update of my Sims (2000) world, you can revisit every lot and every household from the Sims 1 in an open world experience in the Sims 3! This addition adds the Magic Town and Vacation Island area's, making this a complete Sims 1 world, that includes every Sims 1 neighborhood.
I apologize for the long delay in releases this update for this Sims 3 world. My real life has gotten very hectic, so it's been hard to make time for this project. I hope it was worth the wait and that you'll enjoy reliving the Sims 1 in this Sims 3 world.
Special thanks to @bunnybananasims @virtual-hugs @madraynesims @melisanne19 @thesims1master @ohrudi on Tumblr and
@OhBeeel and @Andr3sL0K0 on Twitter for helping me with beta testing! And Martine and Simsimillian at MTS for providing lovely terrain paints <3
Get the world + save file here:
SFS download
Google drive download
This world was made with every Sims 3 expansion pack (except for Into The Future), in addition the the High End Loft and Town Life stuff packs. You can install the world even if you do not own all of these packs. But the save file (which includes all of the premade sims, ghosts and some fixes) can only be played if you have all of these packs installed.
To everyone who has installed and played the previous version of my Sims (2000) world: to install this version, you'll need to uninstall the old one. If you have an active save file with the previous (1st) version of this world, please backup any households and builds you want to save to your library. Because that save file will probably become unplayable after installing the updated world file.
I have one little request… If you know any other long time simmers, please share this project with them. I would love it if as many people as possible get a chance to enjoy this nostalgic experience <3
Also, if you enjoy setting up high quality screenshots, I'd love to see them and use them to promote this world.
I am so happy to finally reveal the special set I’ve been working on with the incredibly talented MADLEN !
We’ve been working both in our specific domain, so you will have build buy elements from me, and clothes from him !
It’s been a while since I wanted to create a specific set inspired by this TVshow very dear to my heart, and I’m so happy to finally make it, and even more now because it comes with lovely outfits straight out of the show!
I’ve decided to focus on the kitchen as it’s the most iconic room of the show and it’s also the most versatile items that you will be able to use in your everyday builds! I’ve added a few of my favorite clutters from it like the face vase and blueish wine glasses but also the famous English trifle from Rachel! Don’t worry, it also comes with edible swatches!
I’ve managed to get the tilted counter version to snap perfectly with kitchen counters and where you can place classical appliances and sinks. It opens more possibilities for my future kitchens! But as the game always has it's own fun, you will have to delete the wall behind the tilted counter to place it perfectly. Otherwise, it will place it with an offset.
You can find the items by searching for ROOMIES or Pierisim in game.
Some items share the same textures so make sure to have the packages finishing by "texture" in your mod folder :)

some dresses replacements for your simmies! it's been a while since i posted and part of that is because i've been contemplating how i can improve my preview pics in a way that fits my style, to the point i've just been staring at my computer whole evenings instead of actually making any of my planned defaults. one day my previews will get better, i promise, though that day is sadly not today.
as usual, everything should have appropriate morphs & shoe sounds and all files are also compressed. swatches/preview pics are included in the downloads for convenience.
