of course this has all been falsified by the fact JT’s been in new york for ages and petey still sucks but that period of time when JT went on a vague leave of absence and petey started scoring again and then JT came back so petey got bad again and the media was like hey what’s all this? and rick tocchet said it was nothing and quinn hughes said it was something but none of your business and JT said you guys are making this up. and then a month later JT was gone

OKAY. Apparently they were just doing whatever during the 80's because they also had a bullpen cart designed to look like a tugboat. It was called the SS Relief and the pitchers refused to use it.
