Today I wanted to talk about Kyle Bassinga. Kyle was a 21 year old man from Georgia, whose family described him as "a kind, thoughtful, and smart young man who loved nature, music, and the people around him". Kyle Bassinga was killed on February 18th 2026, just ten days after his birthday. He was found hanging from a tree in a park.
The police ruled it a suicide. The family and local community demanded an investigation. The police refused to change their ruling.
I know this website it too white for this to really go anywhere, but an understanding of the present reality of white supremacy in the United States is just so important to transfeminism here. Lynchings never stopped, white supremacy never went away, you just stopped looking.
Just cause it's been 1 year and a half, and SciShow still hasn't put out anything correcting the harmful information they gave for feminizing HRT, or appologizing for leaving out trans women and transfeminine NB people entirely from the production and presentation of their video on HRT, and instead just quietly took the video down and everyone just continues to go on as if they did nothing wrong, I just thought y'all should be reminded that they did that.
And yes, this is an example of transmisogyny. Transmisogyny doesnt always look like JK Rowling calling us "men in dresses" that "invade women's spaces." In fact, most of the time it doesn't look like that. It usually looks like this; trans women being left out of discussions explicitly about us and unintentionally spreading misinformation about us simply because you never even thought to include us, not out of outright malice but simply because to tme people we are an afterthought. But then it becomes malicious when you refuse to make amends and just ignore us at best, or at worst roll your eyes and regard us as hysterical women "making a mountain out of a mole hill."
I wish all of yalls "love every trans woman you meet" posts actually applied to Black trans women as well.

It's killing us. I don't think you understand it's killing us. Every time you scroll past a Black tgirl getting harassed without doing anything to make her feel less alone. Every time you just accept that a space you're in doesn't have Black tgirls. Every time you don't prioritize Black tgirls even when we are the primary victims of the thing you are talking about (like the ""deplatforming"" of trans girls who rely on mutual aid to survive, which disproportionately targets Black girls). I don't think you understand how much it's fucking killing us when you don't do a thing to help us and make us feel less alone in this transmisogynoirist hellscape. You use us for your arguments, you make one post or reblog about loving Black tgirls to make yourself look good, and then you leave us to die alone and afraid
I'm talking about Black trans women and transfems. I'm not talking about "POC." I'm not talking about "all trans women." I'm not talking about "Black trans people." Stop trying to broaden this post that I specifically made about Black trans girls.
I don't want to hear your white guilt. You are still ignoring us.
If you really need to talk about how guilty you are, how much you suck for being white, how you need to make more of an effort, go make your own post. Several Black trans women have used this post's tags and reblogs to speak about their own experiences being ignored in these spaces. When you fill this blog's reblogs and tags up with your "sorry for being white and sorry for ignoring them," you are covering up and speaking over their experiences in order to try and feel better about yourself. You are still prioritizing yourself in a conversation that is explicitly not about you.
Make your own post if you really, truly want to reflect on how you can be a better ally. Here is not the place for it. Let the dolls speak. Put them on a pedestal like they deserve.

that isn't what i'm saying. i'm sorry, but what i'm saying is that people who claim they were falsely flagged usually weren't falsely flagged at all, they just actually were being transmisogynists. what i'm saying is if they screech about being falsely flagged, usually you can look up any of these subjects on their blog and see that they are unsafe to the trans girls in their own community. this post is a cry for help because there are transmisogynistic people in all minority spaces and they hurt those who share their label the worst
Please do not shut up about trans women's blogs being terminated disproportionately. You have to care more about speaking out against this. You have to care more about the girls that have been termed to oblivion. You have to care more about the girls that haven't come back. You have to care more about trans women.

If the real-world treatment of trans women by the healthcare system was invented for a work of fiction, it would instantly read as an absurdist satire of all the issues with cis women's healthcare. yeah you can get a vagina but only if the doctor thinks he'd want to fuck it afterwards.
My least favorite new politically correct term is "unhoused." Like you can just tell it was created to make liberals feel less icky when talking about homeless people.
I was homeless. I was homeless as a child and as an adult. That shit sucks believe it or not.

"Unhoused" is so clinical. A technical term. Sure, its not incorrect, but it doesn't properly convey the emotional and psychological impact homelessness has on you.
You say "house", I think of a structure.
You say "home", I think of stability.

I have been given new and important information on the distinction between “homeless” and “unhoused”!
The term “unhoused” is useful for those in social work when they have to make the distinction between someone who is say, couchsurfing but still has a roof over their head, and someone who’s sleeping in a tent beneath an underpass. Both are homeless, but one is unhoused.
