Being in vetmed is kinda weird bc sometimes I Can see the same attitudes that represent major issues with the medical industrial complex, that being disdain and scorn for patients and a general feeling of superiority and authority over them. Except it’s quite a bit rarer and it’s never about the patients but rather the clients. It varies heavily and I’m thankful to say I’ve only shadowed a handful of vets like this, but it’s Quite disturbing when i do see it slipping through the cracks

#clients are Really Fucking Difficult. and the expectations put on you as a chartered professional are high #I’ve seen so many vets I care deeply about sob and sob due to abusive clients but like #any medical profession requires a willingness to work with people and ability to see them. as people.#and seeing old and new grad vets alike be jaded and antisocial makes me so :(#i just refuse to let myself be a practitioner like that

Why do people treat near death visions and hallucinations as anything other than identical to dreaming?

I know some people take even dreams seriously, but it concerns me when I think about how people believe near-death or short-death experiences are somehow different or more true??
