i went for a walk wirh my mother the other day to the most peaceful place ive ever ever ever ever ever been, it's just a really clear river surrounded by reeds, with a thick, wooden memorial bench and a little trench of sorts below the bench so my feet just dangle barely above the ground despite being 5'6. i'm used to my feet being flat on the ground, i missed kicking my feet about and with the gentle river sparkling in the sun, it completely set my mind at ease and silenced my overthinking. i don't mind the blisters my shoes gave me because it's such a nice place, it's only a 5 minute walk away so i might rejoice in the blisters and the pain of heavy gates for the sound of quiet water and fluttering birds is more beautiful than anything i've experienced before.

my mother said that day was the busiest she'd ever seen the place and i only saw about six sets of people altogether, it's easter holidays and sunny so it must be a quiet place to go. i don't know if i should take my knitting, my drawing or just myself next time i visit
