Here is all three girls together. I picked up sappho this morning and their introductions went super well. All three are now happy in their cage and we will start intros with tobie later on

Here is badger (b&w) and Verona (cream). The local pet shop took in a big surrender of rats and I took home three girls. They were all being kept in separate cages so I first took home badger and Verona to see if they would remember each other and their introduction took about 15 minutes and they went into their quarantine cage!

just an update.... ive now lost all of my original mischief (james, sirius, lupin, teddy, delsin, hamilton) and now have toblerone, but on a positive note i just rescued 3 girls! all hooded. pictures coming soon

lupin passed away today, so far i only have two of my original mischief along with the new baby tbone

hi everyone. does anyone have any tips on caring for a rat with HED/degenerative myelopathy? Ive already senior-ized the bottom half of the cage with shallow ramps for teddy and added safety net hammocks (im keeping the top half as is for the other boys, teddy will have access to the top but none of the platforms/shelves up high). im wiping him off daily with some “pet grooming wipes”  &  Im looking for good foods/treats to give him he seems to be low on energy from dragging himself around ? and tips on keeping him active (signal boost bls)

reptiles are not dogs. they do not enjoy being pet like a dog does. at best they tolerate it, at worst it causes immense distress

behavior such as closing their eyes, opening their mouths, making noises, etc arent displays of pleasure, it is almost always signals of distress. please get this thru your heads.
