rbing witchy things is such a dangerous game because a fair few of them are terfs and usually you dont realize it until you go on their blogs and see posts about how they get their magic from their wombs.
if you're an inclusive witch blog like or rb this so I can check you out
and if you're a terf remember to choke on your wassail
To add to this, if I accidentally repost something from a terf, witch or not, please tell me
The Hoodoo Tarot comes out in February 2020 and tbh…..I just preordered it.

Aphrodite wants you to know this holiday season
You can eat.
You are loved if not by your family then by the gods.
You matter if you do or don’t follow the gender/sexual “norms.”
No matter where you are the gods are with you. They will listen, you’re loved, you’re amazing, they love your “ugly” Christmas sweater (I do too, you look bomb.)
Have a wonderful holiday!
I just remembered that Hecate is the cousin of Apollo and Artemis
Which means
Apollo and artemis: *fighting*
Hecate: Can I get a waffle?
Apollo and artemis: *fighting*
Hecate: CAN I PLEASE GET A WAFFLE?
Types of People, Greek Gods Version (my take on it)
Zeus: pristine white, bitter coffee, rainy days, black suits, the smell of freshly printed paper, easily angered, tense and frustrated silences, unhealthy relationships, bad coping mechanisms, leader personality, destruction of the people close to you, dark morals and angry glares
Poseidon: false sense of security, messy hair, temper of a lion, tears mixing in with rain, no one understanding, fierce pride, angry outbursts, the smell of your hair after the beach, seeing the devastation of tsunamis on tv, bottling up feelings, self destructive, no one caring
Hades: dark aura, cold smiles, bitter comebacks, the smell of winter, harsh wind on your face, loneliness, cold coffee, forgotten books on dusty shelves, cold sheets, black clothes, a past of mistreatment, long forgotten revenge plans, a comfortable emptiness
Hera: sharp comebacks, angry eyes, rain beating down on your head, innocent turned broken, have had your spark stomped out, the smell of sodden flowers, hate for the world, justified outbursts, refusing to get help, crying yourself to sleep
Demeter: the ringing in your ears you get from silence, unread books on the shelf, country home, playing in a field, white sundresses, dipping your bare feet in a lake, fresh fruits and vegetables, nature, the smell of freshly cut grass, rooms lit by candles
Hestia: warm hugs, passive, sparkling eyes, deep conversations, forgotten or left out a lot, wool socks, oversized sweaters, holding a coffee mug with your sleeves around your palms, hair in French braids, the smell of homemade cookies, quiet encouragement
Apollo: sun bathing, wheezing laughter, lazy mornings, bicycles through Italy, yellow, easy grins, golden sunlight streaming through a dusty room, slipping on a hardwood floor with socks on, teasing your friends, confidence, bad poetry, the smell of honey and vanilla
Artemis: death glares, fierce opinions, extremist, hearing rain on the top of your roof at night, unwavering eye contact, shoulders back and head held high, hair in a side braid, rare smiles, tight lips, the smell of woodsmoke, feminist, eye rolls and sarcasm
Hermes: trains to no where, taking random buses and wondering where you’ll end up, making friends everywhere you go, the smell of the air after it rained, busy days and quiet nights, running away from your problems, leather notebooks, not belonging
Ares: bruised knuckles, the coppery taste of blood, deadly glares, strong pride, bloodied reflections, picking fights, neon signs, fierce red and electric blue, combat boots, muscle shirts, cracking knuckles, not so subtle threats, middle fingers, hate for authority
Aphrodite: waking up at six to get ready, heels clicking across the floor, lipstick stains on coffee mugs, long hair in up do’s, the smell of roses and cotton candy, sickly sweet smiles, subtle threats, twirling a piece of hair around your finger, bubblegum pink and blood red
Athena: overcast, grey sweaters, books piled up on the bedside table, early riser, staying up at night reading, the smell of a new book, pages of writings around your room, fierce glares, debates, correcting teachers, polite until pissed off
Hephaestus: quiet but not shy, thinks a lot, the sun out on a cold day, calm and collected, dark grey, contemplative conversations, having a hobby that consumes your life, staying up at night looking at the stars, light breezes, probably have at least a mild dislike for your family
Dionysus: nights you don’t remember, numbing the pain, raising a glass, loud laughter, constantly on the brink of insanity or a breakdown, ignoring your problems, the smell of alcohol, crazed eyes, subtle pleas for help, living life on the edge, young blood

The old gods are not dead
I hear Athenas war cry in the shouts of protests,
fighting a war now closer to home,
I see her in the young women with picket signs
clenched tightly in their fists
Hera curses the names of the abusers
The ones who break families and marriages
Her voice heard in the wedding bells of young lovers
Poseidon now resides in a beach home
Going out every night to pick of trash left by the day
Shooting daggers at the drunk men letting their bottles be swept away
Demeter can be heard cursing the politicians refusing to believe in global warming
Names of scientists and studies on the tip of her tongue
She is found teaching young children how to grow their food at the community garden
Ares is found on the front lines of a different war, not fighting but protecting the innocent
Guiding classrooms of children away from gunfire,
His shield protecting the terrified
Apollo can be found at opens mics
Reciting his latest works
Or walking down the street in docs on his feet and a guitar on his back
He knows he’s the coolest
Artemis is seen on the streets
Her bow and arrow have long left her
Carrying nothing more than a knife and mace
She hunts a different kind of monster now
Hephaestus resides in a workshop at all hours of the night
Creating custom pieces for the right price and a warm smile
The hammer making him feel invincible
Aphrodite’s song is heard in the breathy kisses of teenagers
Shes found walking down the street, lips a blood red
Punching the men who dare disrespect her
Hermes is seen with a smirk as he walks long well-traveled roads
Delivering the messages of those needing to be heard
Traveling, telling stories, and wearing out another pair of shoes
Dionysus’s voice heard only over the pounding bass in the bar
Keeping watch over young girls drinks
Dancing, partying and living as he throws another one back
Hades is seen weeping over the graves of those taken much to soon
Looking to his wife for comfort
He’s long lost his faith in humanity
Persephone found in the gardens beside her mother in the spring
Brushing off girl’s dirty knees and putting flower crowns on their heads
She can be seen holding onto hades as he mourns the loss of life
Hecate will be found running metaphysical shops
Bringing hope to powerful women wanting more
Selling potions, nobody thinks will work
And collecting graveyard dirt for a new spell
Zeus is watching over everyone
Watches Athena cry
Hera curse the men, he being one of them
Poseidon’s glares
Demeter’s harsh words
Ares raising his shield
Apollos singing
Artemis as she tracks a new beast
Watches Hephaestus work
Sees Aphrodite punch
Hears Hermes words
Sees hades weep
And Persephone plant and comfort her partner
And grins as Hecate keeps magic alive
The old gods are not dead
They are alive
And they are watching

Where do you see the gods?
Aphrodite: The love songs that run through your head, pretty people smiling at you, all the I love you’s, learning to care for yourself, dismissing the people who put you down.
Apollo: Laying in the sun shining through your windows, happy and loud music, fast conversations, caring for others, seeing yourself recover, the feeling of your heart glowing when someone compliments you.
Ares: Protests, angry youth marching through the streets fighting for what’s right, the feeling of pure fire in your soul when you see something unjust.
Artemis: Misty days, deep dialogues with strangers, lying on the ground staring at the stars, girls protecting girls, being enough for yourself.
Athena: Peacemaking, calming arguments with a firm tone, teaching young children how to be better people than the last generation.
Demeter: Laying in the grass, the feeling of wanting to run off and start a farm so you can live off the land, watching the bees bumble around the flowers.
Dionysus: Partying with friends, the feeling that thrums through your veins when you’re at a concert, being yourself even when others detest you.
Hephaistos: He Creating something with your own hands, campfires, strength, and warmth of true family.
Hera: Stonefaced, the feeling of power when you see your plan go perfectly, silver hair, confidence filling your body, debating on something you are right about.
Hermes: Traveling with friends and family, the urge to run away and explore the world, collecting mementos from everywhere you go, meeting new people, laughing so hard you can’t breathe.
Hestia: Fighting for the ones you love, baking fresh bread, the feeling of dried dirt on your skin, overgrown gardens, hugging your mother.
Hades: Seeing crows in the trees and understanding that they comprehend so much more than you know, meeting a new child, waving at babies everywhere you go, the feeling of clarity when someone passes away after a long and content life.
Hermes
Greek god of mischief, travel, commerce, languages, writing, messages, sports, athletes, borders, herds, hospitality, and thieves
Hermes is the emissary and messenger of the gods. He is also “the divine trickster” and “the god of boundaries and the transgression of boundaries, the patron of herdsmen, thieves, graves, and heralds.” This god is described as moving freely between the worlds of the mortal and divine, and is the conductor of souls into the afterlife. He is also viewed as the protector and patron of roads and travelers.
In some myths, he is a trickster who outwits other gods for his own amusement or for the sake of humankind. His attributes and symbols include the herma, the rooster, the tortoise, satchel or pouch, winged sandals, and winged cap. His main symbol is the Greek kerykeion or Latin caduceus, which appears in a form of two snakes wrapped around a winged staff with carvings of the other gods. Homer and Hesiod portrayed Hermes as the author of skilled or deceptive acts and also as a benefactor of mortals. In the Iliad, he is called “the bringer of good luck”, “guide and guardian”, and “excellent in all the tricks”. He was a divine ally of the Greeks against the Trojans. However, he did protect Priam when he went to the Greek camp to retrieve the body of his son Hector and then accompanied them back to Troy.
The Homeric Hymn 4 to Hermes tells the story of Hermes, while still a baby, snuck off and stole all 50 of Apollo’s cattle. Hermes already had a cunning mind and so he disguised his tracks by cobbling together “shoes” made of bark from a fallen oak tree. To make it even harder to track him, he confused the herd’s trail by driving the cows backward and traversing sandy places that left no prints. Apollo went searching for his cattle and eventually came across an omen which pointed to Hermes being the culprit. At first seeming annoyed, Apollo soon became amused by the cleverness of the young god, and so offered to allow Hermes to keep his cattle in trade for his lyre. Hermes agreed, and that is how Apollo got his lyre and how Hermes became a god of herds.
The idea of him being the herald and messenger of the gods, of his travelling from place to place and concluding treaties, necessarily implied the notion that Hermes was the promoter of social intercourse and of commerce among humans, and that he was friendly towards mankind. In this capacity, he was regarded as the maintainer of peace, and as the god of roads, who protected travelers and punished those who refused to assist travelers who were lost. Hence the Athenian generals, on setting out on an expedition, offered sacrifices to Hermes, surnamed Hegemonius, or Agetor; and numerous statues of the god were erected on roads, at doors and gates, from which circumstance he derived a variety of surnames and epithets.
In my personal experiences with Hermes, he is very friendly, compassionate, upbeat, and humourous. He loves good company and doing exciting things, especially with friends, though he does have a more calm and sometimes serious side as well. Hermes has a great deal of wisdom and tends to know what to say to cheer others up or help them feel more confident but on his more serious side, he can get quite angry if people disrespect the homeless or if someone endangers others by driving recklessly. Though overall, he is very much a cheerful and easy-going deity to be around and is a great deal of fun to spend time with. And although he is the god of thieves, he is moreso a god who represents stealing out of need rather than greed. His energy is like the warmth from the sun and a gentle, cool breeze. In my workings with him, Hermes appears as a young man with curly blond hair that reaches a bit below his chin, sea blue eyes, and wears a naturally soft, friendly expression on his face.

🌿Magical herbal salt🎀
Hi!🌹 Today I want to share here one of my magic salt recipes!🔮💜
First at all I took some fresh herbs from my little balcony garden and rock salt.🌱
Salt is a crystalline mineral made of two elements, sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl).Salt magical properties are cleansing, purification, protection.
I used Parsley, Lavender, Basil and Marjoram.
Herbs magical properties are:
Parsley - increase strength, vitality and passion.Parsley is also supposed to protect food from contamination.🌿
Basil - helps steady the mind, brings happiness, love, peace, and money and protects against insanity.🌿
Marjoram - cleansing, purification, and dispelling negativity.🌿
Lavender -love, healing, purification, sleep and beauty.🌿
So that all herbs make my salt more magical and powerful!🌙🔮
I used mortar and pestle to mix that all.🌿After that I added my salt into glass jar and I left in on my altar🔮.
I will add my herbal salt to everything that I cook.
Also I will use it for my protection spells and rituals.🔮

I can’t sleep again so here’s a quick spell if you’re scared of the dark
I used to be scared of the dark up until a few years ago and I feel like not many people know spells that can help dispel the fear (even for a little bit).
First things first, just take a deep breath and feel the air in your lungs and remember that you are the most powerful presence in the room or space where you are. There is nothing chasing or following you, there is nothing watching or trying to harm you, you are almost certainly completely safe.
Next, we should start with some basic energy warding to make you feel a little better. Imagine you are surrounded in a sort of bubble of white light and really draw the energy from your chest and stomach and arms until you can kind of feel the ‘bubble’ around you. This can take a little while to master but when you get the hang of it, it can be so comforting to know you have that protection around you. This can also be much much harder to do if you’re very sad or anxious or scared but don’t give up because you will get there in the end!
Now for a little chant which you can adapt to fit your needs; it should become a mantra of sorts to make you feel at least a little more relaxed: “I am the presence in the darkness, the light that guides me home. No longer am I anxious, I am strong when I’m alone.”
Wherever you are, whether it’s in bed worrying about the pile of clothes that looks like a person or walking late at night and mistaking your footsteps for someone else’s, just remember that there are so many good and beautiful spirits protecting you. Even if it doesn’t feel like it, you’re never helpless or all on your own- there’s always someone or something that can help.
Bonus tip!!
Try carrying protection stones/crystals and herbs on your person, either in a small box or just in your pockets.
Some stones/crystals could include:
Black Tourmaline (the best for general but very powerful protection- helps to boost confidence and repels bad vibes)
Amethyst (helps to get rid of anxieties and is especially useful if you’re travelling or just need comfort)
Smokey quartz (great for reducing fear and anxiety but also amazing for repelling bad vibes)
Pyrite (clears up your mind and acts as a buffer against negative energy)
Malachite (typically associated with protection during pregnancy but can come in major handy if it is gifted to you by a family member as it creates a protecting boundary between you and negative energy)
Some herbs could include:
Basil (generally used for purification but also used for protection especially against perceived bad vibes)
Clove (like malachite it is also used to protect babies and children but is a nice and easy herb to use and acquire for protection)
Ginger (helps boost your energy which in turn makes you more able to protect yourself)
Rosemary (probably the most widely used and best general protection herb- also great for healing!)
Cinnamon (technically a spice but shhh… it has an incredibly diverse set of uses and provides highly energetic protection)
Good luck and blessed be ⍟
“I change when I walk out on stage. I totally transform into this ultimate showman. I say that because that’s what I must be. I can’t be second best, I would rather give up. I know I have to strut. I know I have to hold the mic stand a certain way. And I love it.”
- Freddie Mercury
