Open for prompts!

I've officially gotten through my inbox (just have a couple to type up and edit), I apologise for any prompts I was unable to fill over the years but I'm going to aim to not get such a backlog again. I think that I will give a prompt a month or two and then respond if I can't write it to see if anyone else can so that I'm not leaving anyone hanging for years.

There’s fanfiction…. And then there’s FANFICTION. The kind of shit you happen upon at like 3am or some other ungodly time because you were trying to find a fix for ur fixation at the time and you are just SUCKED IN and every sentence feels like a line of cocaine and it has quotes and imagery that permeate your brain and it’s the shit that sticks around in your consciousness forever and it never goes away and it’s always going to be one of Those Fics.

It would depend on whether I get any ideas while watching the film. I literally know nothing about it as I'm currently waiting for the official release, I don't really want to watch the leaked film when it's a series I want to support

I’m not sure if you’re still taking prompts, but I had an idea for an Azutara scenario.

It would be set post-war, with Azula already living with Katara in the Southern Water Tribe, and planning to formally propose according to Southern Water Tribe customs.

Meanwhile, Zuko has been ruling as Fire Lord for some time, and Mai is currently six months pregnant. For some reason (I didn’t really think through the details), Zuko needs to step away for a while, but he can’t leave Mai alone to oversee the Fire Nation. Many of Ozai’s remaining loyalists might try to reach him by targeting her.

So, one of the elder council members , someone who witnessed Ozai training Azula as his heir, suggests that Azula take on the role temporarily, believing she would be capable of ruling for a few months. Uncle Iroh is a bit concerned, but ultimately agrees with the idea (I like the interpretation that Iroh’s fear of Azula comes from seeing parts of himself in her).

When Azula receives the proposal, she’s unsure whether to accept, but Katara encourages her and goes with her to the Fire Nation.

It’s only meant to be for a few months, but Azula ends up doing very well. She improves conditions in several districts; her more logical and strategic approach balances well with Zuko’s more emotional leadership, making them a strong complement to each other.

Katara even becomes a bit insecure, wondering if Azula might choose to stay and rule alongside Zuko afterward—but Azula no longer has any desire to be Fire Lord.
