for anyone who’s still reeling in from any shocking news that was revealed with the full moon in taurus, I just wanna say you’re not alone 🤍
it may feel like you’re on your own to process the information and heal from it but your spirit team, your deities, and your ancestors are all here with you. They’ve known the truth for a while, they were just waiting for the right time to let you know. And the fact you know now, is proof that you can process and heal from this in a healthy way.
We’re going to get through this 🤍🫂

Happy New Moon Darling ❤︎
y’all i love Lord Thanatos sm. i fell asleep mid prayer bc i was feeling absolutely exhausted. i woke up in the middle of the night in a stupor and apologized to Him, but i managed to fall asleep once more when i was done. i dreamt of finding a bookshelf with butterflies on every single one of the book covers. on one hand it finally feels like He heard my call for a sign in my dreams, and on the other hand it was like He had accepted my apology
Hii 🩷 As someone who also honors the Greek Gods {Hades, Hecate, and Medusa are the focus in my devotion} and who came from a Christian background too, I wanted to share that the Gods understand our human needs and limitations. They don't get angry with us for things that are within our human needs because They created us as mortal beings who need sleep to live and function at our best.
They only get frustrated {and it could lead to anger} when we disrespect Them, and falling asleep mid-prayer is not disrespectful 🩷 They understand that we get tired and need to sleep, They also understand that falling asleep isn't always a controlled action {think about narcolepsy or drowsiness as a side effect of medication we need}, They will never get mad at you or anyone for doing what's natural when they created us like this 🩷
In Ancient Greek mythos and worship, the Gods were known to understand and accept human limitations. They don't demand that we harm ourselves, deny our basic needs, or pressure us to do more than what we are capable of. In fact, sleep was considered sacred to the Ancient Greeks.
Hypnos {the God of sleep} is Thanatos' twin brother. So He understands the need to sleep 🩷
If you take one thing away from this, let it be this: The Gods want us to take care of ourselves so we can honor Them with a clear and healthy mind and body, and so we can live a beneficial life for ourselves. Your dedication in trying to pray even when exhausted shows your devotion, but please know that taking care of your health is also a way of honoring the Gods. They care about your well-being and want you to rest when you need it.
The idea that the Gods get angry at us for human nature and limitations stems from the Abrahamic religions, from a time when people understood divinity differently. The Gods created us with our mortal nature not as punishment, but so we could experience the universe from a different perspective than the Divine. That's why it's called the “Human Experience” — our needs and limitations are part of what makes us uniquely human. It’s not a bad thing 🩷
I think it's also important to note that the idea that Gods get upset with us for our needs and limitations is deeply rooted in ableist thinking. I'm sure you didn't intend that when you shared this or felt this way the other night, and this is not to call you out because I think everyone has struggled with this idea at one point or another because it's been a widely spread and deep-rooted propaganda in our world for centuries.
Because of this, I believe it's important to continue deconstructing our faith so we can understand our emotions and thoughts when it comes to our relationships with our Gods 🩷 I wanted to share this to bring your awareness to it because this structure of thinking can negatively impact your mental health if it goes unresolved and in turn, could negatively change your relationship with your Gods, neither of which I want for you or anyone.
Remember that your relationship with the Gods is personal and sacred. They chose you for who you are right now, not for your potential or past lives. Right now, you are a human being with all the beautiful complexity that entails 🩷 Embrace it so you can enjoy it. When you need rest, please rest. When you need care, please take it. This isn't just allowed, but it's part of the magical journey you’re on right now. You're not letting Them down by taking care of yourself; you're honoring Their gift of your human experience in all its fullness 🩷
With Love, Astrid 🩷✨
P.S. I’m happy to answer any questions you might have on this or to continue the conversation 🩷
Something I’ve been struggling to learn and implement in my life is that not everything I do has to be perfect or “the final draft” before I release it.
In honor of Yule, the dark season of death, I decided I will be releasing my unhealthy attachment to perfectionism. It’s something I adopted at a very young age because the church taught and my family reinforced the idea that if I wasn’t perfect I wouldn’t be loved or cared for or provided for in the ways I needed. I think 24 years of living with that burden is too long to continue as such so this new year for me will be one of raw imperfection. I’m both excited and terrified of what I will create, and release with the world during this season but healing is something I value and cherish more than protecting my ego. So here I go ✨
Hey there. Normalize unconventional divination or worship. Just because it's not in a book or an article does not invalidate what helps you.
Is your relationship with your deity different from other practitioners? Who cares. It's your personal journey. This isn't an organized religion, you have the ability to pace yourself, think outside the box and learn what works for you as an individual.
Whether you’re a devotee or a worshipper, you’re not always gonna be at your best, and there are gonna be times - maybe lots of times - where you may not feel you can give 100% to your deities. You may not even be able to talk to them at all.
That’s why I LOVE devotional jewellery or any other kind of devotional item that you can carry with your person. Just the simple act of putting on a necklace or a ring or something similar is such an amazing way of showing your deities “hey, I’m still here. I still love you. I still carry you with me.“

i think in crucial times, devastating times like with the election and pivotal moments in history. Wars, Floods, Fires, etc. I think it’s important to take time to regulate your emotions before trying to help other people or before trying to address the public and speak about it.
I think the instantaneity of social media makes us feel like we hAve to pump out posts and tweets and talk on major events.
Either be inspirational, encouraging, positive about it or talk openly and passionately about it so people know you don’t stand for whatever is happening. And vice versa.
I think social media is a wonderful thing for so many good reasons because it connects us to everyone who has access to free internet, we get real time updates on important events, we find communities that make us feel seen, heard and valuable.
However, it isn’t perfect because those same communities we’re a part of can ridicule us, question us, and turn against us if we aren’t thinking before acting/speaking or quick enough to send in a response to something horrible going on in the world.
It’s what kept me off social media for so long. This pressure to be perfect and up to date on everything happening everywhere and make sure i have the right opinion on things and speak on it before the hour is up, because then it’ll be “old news” or you’ll be seen as “copying” someone else who’s said the same thing but 1.2seconds before you did.
It’s this action driven by fear of irrelevance.
If you’re too late to the news party, you’re irrelevant. If you’ve said the same thing as someone else— regardless of whether you knew they said it already— you’re irrelevant.
And in today’s day and age, relevancy is everything. That’s why we have “prime posting times” and trending hashtags. It’s this need to be relevant. It’s more important to us than having air to breathe because if I’m not relevant, “Why am I here?”
Yeah, it sounds silly when we say it aloud but I think it’s important to say it because it’s true and not everyone is aware that this is why social media does what it does to our mental health and self worth.
The internet is amazing and helpful in so many ways… but each of us are so much more than our tumblr blog or instagram page. I wish and I hope for a day when social media becomes less about the relevancy and popularity and more about the fun of sharing and finding communities.
You shouldn’t have to stress about saying the right things or being encouraging and posting enough especially during a crucial time in life where things look like shit. Take a pause, clear your mind, focus on your breath and just allow yourself to exist as a person outside of the internet. 🩷 We’ll still be here when you get back 🫂🩷
𐐪𐑂 Apollo: How we met and who He is to me 𐐪𐑂
{A bit of a backstory: When I was 12, I really enjoyed Greek mythology and the Percy Jackson series because it was taught in school and forbidden by my mother. But after the school year ended and restarted with new curriculum, Hellenism was lost to me.}
Apollo was the first God I met in 2020, when I rediscovered Hellenism. I met him on Tiktok through a few of his devotees and some witches who worked with him.
He was described as this artsy, cheerful gay man that I didn’t have to fear, but at first I didn’t want anything to do with Him. Not because he scared me but because I had just left Christianity and I wasn’t sure if hopping into another religion was right for me. But I started praying to him when I wanted clarity on if this is the path I should go down. He opened my heart and mind to Hellenism and soon after introduced me to Hades and Medusa who would become my closest Gods.
Apollo, is the God who brought me to Hellenism or rather brought me back.
To me, he’s the son who’s strong enough to be a respected warrior but prefers spending his time in fields of wildflowers, collecting them for vases at home, while he sings and plays for the wild animals in the meadows on mountaintops. He’s the cousin that I can go to when I have artist’s block and we’ll listen to songs and make flower crowns until inspiration strikes. He’s a prince to me, royal and magnificent yet playful and youthful. He has a hint of childish immaturity that only comes out when his wisdom and advice isn’t required of him.
I still have my days where I don’t feel as close to him as I do with my other Gods, but overtime He’s become the chill cousin I can talk to about creative projects or when I’m feeling depressed and need a pick me up.
