in addition, black people, obviously, are the most likely to face police violence and false imprisonment. sex workers even more so. black women in general are a historically degendered class. black people are more likely to be impoverished. black people are more likely to be discriminated against in so many aspects of life. black people are the first to get hurt and black people are the last to get listened to. remember to fight for black trans women when you are fighting for trans women.

#obviously ralsei i imagine this post is originally about ralsei but. to a lesser extent this is noelle as well #like with the advent of ch5 i just cannot see noelle as being someone who has transitioned before the story began. thematically.#ive seen a couple post-ch5 transfem noelle takes that i enjoyed a lot but #i feel like transfem noelle relies on viewing the characters as people instead of characters #like yeah if noelle was a real person it would be entirely possible for her to transition and still feel trapped in ‘being noelle’#but like. as a character. as far as arcs and themes and symbolism goes. it feels very weak #utdr #dr

the thing about mothers in fiction is that a lot of fandoms seem to be under the impression that the worst thing a woman can possibly do is be a bad mother. like they can forgive deadbeat dads easily but the moment a woman is a bad or even mediocre mother she's the devil incarnate to them. and then you're like "i like her and i think she's interesting" and they immediately go "oh so you think it's okay to be a bad mother (which is the most evil thing a woman can be)". and don't even get me started on how they react to female characters who are bad stepmothers
