i've been making excuses for the past 5-ish years so i will finally embark on my bookbinding journey tonight

Our children, who were supposed to wake up to the joy of Eid and the sound of Takbeer, now wake up instead to the sounds of bombing, to hunger exhausting their tiny bodies, and to fear that never leaves their eyes even while they sleep.

Their dreams are no longer toys or gifts… their only wish is to survive one single day in safety, to find food to ease their hunger, and to sleep without the tents shaking above their heads from the violence of the airstrikes.

Mothers hide their tears so their children will not break down, while fathers stand helpless before the needs of their families in conditions beyond human endurance, as the world watches all this pain in silence.

Even Eid itself has become a painful memory that reminds us of everything we have lost safety, homes, and dreams.

We are not asking for the impossible…

Just please, do not leave Gaza alone.

Be a voice for children exhausted by war before they even had the chance to understand life, and share our suffering. Perhaps one share or one small act of kindness from you could give a child in Gaza a moment of hope in this endless darkness.

just finished how to get to heaven from belfast, and i honestly really enjoyed it! has lisa mcgee's signature humour that made derry girls so good, and while my cousin says she was left unsatisfied by the ending, i actually found it fitting. i can see why others may feel differently though. i think it made a difference because i'd heard her thoughts on it beforehand and went in with low expectations for the ending. overall i'd give it about a 6.5/10
