I don't understand how cis people obsessed with gender norms think trans people are the weird ones. they're going around believing that your name has to correlate to your genitals. your fashion has to correlate to your genitals. your behaviours have to correlate to your genitals. your hobbies have to correlate to your genitals. who you date has to correlate to your genitals. whether you can put sparkles on your eyelids or not has to correlate to your genitals. and then people like me go "hmm. I might not do that. maybe I'll just do what feels fun and okay instead" and they LOSE their MINDS
Notice how itâs a lot of nonsense social constructs, but then they slip in sexual orientation like we would miss the homophobia and rape culture
I have kind of a niche political view on tumblr, which is that I think misogyny is bad even when itâs just hurting women
and I donât even think it needs to have a singular benefit for men for feminism and the abolition of patriarchy to be worthwhile
âWhy do straight men act so gay with each other hahaâ bc they find gayness to be funny and feel the need to emasculate each other even when itâs on a friendly level. Do you have any other stupid fucking questions to ask me
efforts towards a "positive vision of masculinity" or whatever are so funny because what these guys are trying to figure out is literally "what's a way of being a good person that's Not For Girlsâą"
One day Michael Schur will make a show about a short blonde woman who consumates her relationship with her best friend
Any time you say something about men being inherently predatory (man vs bear, a group of men is a threat, etc.) you are being racist. Treating men as inherently predatory is fundamentally inseparable from anti-blackness because Black men are hypermasculinized. That rhetoric affects Black men the most.
When you say you'd pick the bear over the man or a group of men is a threat, you are saying you'd pick the bear over a Black man and a group of Black men are a threat. It's not changing anything or flipping the genders. All Black men are men. If it sounds racist now, that's because it's always been racist and you didn't realize the implication.
Sure you could freely use your free speech to freely say, "A group of White men are a threat" or "I'd pick a Black man over a bear but a bear over a White man." But you and I and everyone else all know exactly how that sounds. And it's still racist because why do you always think only of White men when you're thinking about an abstract hypothetical man?
When you hear something about men being predatory, you should always think about how that affects Black men or you will inevitably say something racist.
OP doesnât see black women as people
Bro I'm literally a Black woman but go off I guess
If thatâs true then you have Stockholm syndrome
I have a personal investment in fighting against anti-blackness and decentering White men. Misandry affects Black women too. Racism masculinizes us so that we're seen as inherently aggressive and predatory too.
You should decenter all men and find solidarity with other women
It's not a zero sum game where I have to choose between solidarity with women and solidarity with men. Men aren't inherently predatory. Admitting that does nothing to hurt women.
Statistically the vast majority of men do not commit violent crimes. Statistically the majority of victims of violent crimes are men. Statistics have a tendency to define violent sexual crimes like rape in a way that excludes men and skews the narrative to turn a broad rape culture problem into a false story about gendered violence.
The real gendered violence is mass incarceration and police brutality. And police brutality is justified by white supremacy and misandry. Men are considered inherently violent predators, especially Black men, and therefore when the cops commit extrajudicial violence, they had it coming. Black women are victims police brutality more often than White women (but not more often than any race of men) because we are stripped of the protection of femininity from being seen as a predator. We're never going to completely address white supremacy until we acknowledge the ways it intersects with misandry.
âMen aren't inherently predatory,â is a nothing statement, men are actively predatory in the world now.
Wow youâre just fully mask off a Menâs Rights Activist conspiracy theorist. You trust statistics to say men are more commonly victims of male violence than women (true), but then you say we canât trust statistics when they say women are more likely to be victims of sexual violence
Male on male violence is not âmisandry,â if a Jewish person beats up another Jewish person thatâs not antisemitism
I hope one day you outgrow your zero sum mindset. Women's lib and men's lib are intricately woven with each other. I don't refer to myself as a Men's Rights Activist because I think it's equally as shortsighted as feminism.
Rape culture isn't a conspiracy theory any more than white supremacy is a conspiracy theory. It's a pervasive force in society that oppresses people. There's no shadowy group of political figures manufacturing rape culture. It is enforced by the law though. If you would let go of your zero sum mindset, you would realize that recognizing that rape is double the problem we've been treating it as does not minimize how much it affects women.
Another parallel between white supremacy and misandry is this idea of "male on male crime" and "Black on Black crime". It's victim blaming bullshit. And of course a Jewish person reinforcing societal values of antisemitism is being antisemitic. No identity makes you immune to bigotry. Women can be misogynists too. Half of all misogyny is perpetuated by women.
âMenâs liberationâ
they stopped casting attractive young men in hollywood movies because the older ones were tired of competing for the same young women to date so now women have to pretend jacob elordi and thimothe chalamit are anything of substance. they have to wait for scraps to fall from the nepotism machine. watch and observe #society
the way that people critique "the western family" drives me completely up the wall because 1 the implication, often intentional, that families in eg India, china are actually good + woke 2 the fact that most people are qualifying "western" because they are afraid of being accused of being racist/imperialist so they instead imagine a mythical East of englightment
if youâre a rapist male who gets gropey after getting high, donât walk into a mosh pit which is open to both sexes and then complain about being called a rapist or sexual assaulter. you know exactly what the risks are. in fact, stay home.
âhey being sexually assaulted when trying to enjoy a music festival is badâ
âumm this isnât a safe spaceâ
So you feel chill hanging out with a huge crowd of drug fueled creeps who will sexually assault a woman if they get the chance???
Drugs donât make someone a rapist, bad morals do
this is a mod "submission"
back in the mid 2010s, when i was 17 years old right as i was graduating high school, i met a transfem through the plural/soulbonding community. we hit it off, and she was super supportive financially, buying me games on steam and sending me money to help me save up to money out of my parents' house, which i desperately needed. we spent hours on discord every day, im talking over 8 hours, and eventually started planning for me to move in with her.
she was incredibly controlling even just online. i had to learn her system's "lore" and basically act as her long-distance caretaker despite the fact that she was an adult in her 20s with a job. when i finally realized how toxic and draining this was for me, i told her i couldn't be friends anymore. she immediately resorted to threatening to kill herself to keep me hostage. i blocked her, but this friendship left a permanent mark on me.
throughout the whole thing, she was obsessively weird about men. she'd go on rants about how they should all be forcibly castrated. when i mentioned wanting to go on HRT, she practically had a mental breakdown, accusing me of "wanting to ruin my perfect female body!" she was constantly possessive and creepy toward any pre- or early-transition trans men and mascs, calling testosterone "poison" and blaming it for violence. i later realized she was deeply entrenched in radfem rhetoric, despite being a trans woman, and frequently reblogged from baeddels. she was a self-identified lesbian supremacist who literally coerced me into identifying as a nonbinary lesbian for over a year because my identity as a trans gay man (at the time) was so terrible to her. she wanted the "lite" version since she couldn't detransition me fully.
it honestly feels like she viewed my body as a blank doll that she could paint a person onto, an avatar for the perfect female body that she felt she'd missed out on. the way that she weaponized her "plurality" to manipulate me and the way she groomed me into hating my own transition still messes with my self-perception to this day. im sharing my story because i see so many people in these spaces today using the exact tactics (the "plurality," the radical rhetoric, the control) and i think it's important to stay skeptical. i dodged a bullet not living with her but it's a part of why i run this blog now. identity should never be a tool to colonize another person's body.
âshe was deeply entrenched in radfem rhetoricâ
âShe was a self identified lesbian supremacistâ
This is mutually exclusive. Radical feminists donât believe men can be lesbians. Stop blaming women for male cruelty.
This is what happens when you âblock and stay safeâ
Male aid workers are just passport bros who got someone else to foot the bill
you know a lot of your posts "documenting survivor's voices" are recounting stories of a tme getting drunk with a trans woman and accusing her of rape after having sex with her. kinda the exact same thing that happens to black people, hmm....
hey so um. do you think getting drunk with someone is consent? because that's what this sounds like
What does a rape victim drinking alcohol have to do with whether they are entitled to justice?
you people can't all have autism and adhd

Couple yelling at me about âfalse advertising is illegal!â because ONE item was marked one dollar off (despite all the others not being marked with the discrepancy and this one probably being from before the price change), calling me rude because I informed then that the marking was incorrect and offering to remove it if they didnât want to pay the price, then getting pissed off that I wasnât falling for their obvious attempts to make me argue with them while continuing to call me rude when they were the ones yelling at me, by the end of it blaming me SPECIFICALLY for the false marking???, demanding to see a manager, and finally when I pointed out the manager was right there and they could go talk to her if they wanted they instead just stormed out. Every customer that was aware of the situation saw them as angry and rude and was on my side and the manager said it was a good thing I didnât give into arguing with them because clearly they just wanted to have something to call corporate about to get me in trouble (not that they could because I donât wear my name tag and the idiots didnât ask for my name)
