I feel very similarly to how you describe your situation. I never considered that I might not even be aware of what happiness feels like (in the context of feelings surrounding my own body), until I read your post. 2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

The fact that he is actively manipulating his younger self. Dark provides incredible opportunities for the metaphorical to become real, and I love that they choose to show that Noah is the Liar of All Time by making him act as a guide for his younger self and explicitly guide him down a path he knows is terrible. I am fascinated by self deception and it is so fun that Dark gets to make that literal.

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?

The His Dark Materials series! Another series that deals with questions of faith and truth and doomed love, and that allows characters to interact with their own selves as a separate character. His relationship to his daemon could be insannnnne.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

Well my headcanon for Noah of all time is that he and Jonas were lovers in the apocalypse, but in a way that's just reading the text. So my other headcanon is that he was not named Noah until right before he was sent to time travel for the first time (I think that one is soft contradicted by the text, tbh).

21. If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?

I like to make him say vague esoteric bullshit and believe strange things. I have a difficult time writing from the perspective of adult Noah interacting with his younger self because his thought process has got to be crazy complicated when he's doing that, but I wouldn't say I don't like it.
