this is what I mean when I say that stucky didn’t have fanfics, it had literature.

like, Game Changer is objectively a fine book. you read it and you think it’s fine, you can see why they published this stucky fanfic, it has book potential.

however. in the context of stucky fanfics, it must have been kinda meh. most of us feel like we read it because it sounds familiar but it was not The Fan Fiction™. It didn’t have a cult following, gifs, edits and it was not the top recommendation for newcomers. I’d argue it wasn’t even in the top three.

You talk with anyone who was here post TWS and, more then ten years later, they’ll tell you about the trial fic. Or thirteen letters. Or “Bucky found out about bananas”. Some might quote “I love you like RLB” and “we deserve a soft epilogue, my love” escaped containment.

but this BaristaXHockeyPlayer publication-worthy fan fiction??? completely flew under the radar, competition was too tough.

well, i’m surprised the dom x brian plot, but as a romance version, isn’t very popular, even these days.

i do like watching the fast and furious saga (the old ones mostly), and i understand the canon universe didn’t even consider it because of homophobia, etc.

but these days? i was watching it and got myself thinking their plot was actually really good (kinda cute too). an undercover cop and a mechanic who does illegal street races? and imagine that cop falling in love with him, deciding to protect him and going against everything he thought was right?

i mean??? why don’t we have at least a few mm books about it? i’d even accept something on kindle unlimited lol
