I haven’t made a move yet. I probably should suck it up and text him. I’m too in my head. What if he doesn’t want to talk to me? Or he thinks I’m crazy? What if Keonho gave me the wrong number? What if he doesn’t like me? What if I make a fool of myself?
My thoughts raced faster than I could handle and I got a headache every time I thought about texting Seonghyeon.
“Come on y/n, he’s just a boy. You’re smart, you’re hot, and you’re not gonna let some guy you don’t even know make you go crazy!” I told myself in the mirror.
An hour later, I was in a ball of blankets on the couch when my roommates, Jessi and Bella came home.
They knew about what was going on.
“Have you still not done it?” Bella asked with a pointed look.
I shrugged and groaned, knowing they’ll just tease me. “Girl, come on you got this. What’s got you so afraid?” Jessi smiled kindly
I sat up, taking off the layers of warmth that engulfed me. “I just-I don’t know. I know it’s ridiculous. I know I look crazy, I’m just overthinking. I’ve never made the first move before I’m scared”
Bella sympathized “baby you don’t sound crazy everyone gets nerves.”
Jessi butts in “yeah don’t worry. If you need time then take it. Not like he’s waiting for you or anything. He doesn’t know so it won’t hurt.”
Except that’s exactly why Seonghyeon was also overthinking. Keonho said he gave y/n his number so why hasn’t she texted him? He was confused. Did she text the wrong person? Does she not actually want to talk to him? Just like y/n, Seonghyeon was worrying too much for his own good.
“You know what’ll make you feel better?” Bella said with enthusiasm. I tilt my head and raise my brows questioningly. “An afternoon with two of your best friends! Go get dressed”
She’s right I need to get up and go out. I’ll be calmer after that.
