radfem-aligned as in I agree with most radfem ideology but I am heterosexual and in a very happy relationship. i do not believe that this is a feminist act nor have I/will i ever claim it is. i'm not the kind of person who has to fit every aspect of my life and personality into one category or ideology. most people are actually really ideologically inconsistent and I'm probably one of them. I'm not chasing perfection or trying to curate a persona or vibe lmao. im probably not up to date on everything that happens here all the time. i don't agree with 100% of everything everyone I follow says or does and don't tend to unfollow/block just bc I disagree with some things here and there. i also don't tend to think somebody is a bad person because they do or say something i disagree with (with moral exceptions of course outlined here: other views)

A big thing in so-called progressive spaces is criticizing women for being suspicious of random men, and insisting that there must be a racist/ableist/classist/anti-homeless bias at play, while conveniently forgetting that the woman in question (any woman) is a marginalised person doing what they can to avoid being hate-crimed (assaulted, raped or murdered) by a member of an oppressor class.

I just feel so strange the one time per year one of my relatives reaches out to me and says they love and miss me. like no, you don’t, and that’s genuinely okay. I free you!! be free from from your unfounded guilt. These msgs are as awkward for me to receive as they are for you to write. Let’s just move on. You do not have to care about me just bc we are blood related. I would tell them but they wouldn’t understand. People hear me say things like this about my family and are convinced I’m secretly upset about it. I’m truly not. It makes me sadder to be reminded of the fact than to just accept it and move on.

I think one of the gentlest things in the world is when a friend just gets your weird little brain. like you say half a sentence and they finish it. you reference something incredibly niche from seven years ago and they’re already nodding. they understand your strange vocabulary for emotions that don’t have real words yet. it’s being seen and known and still loved. maybe especially because you’re known. god. what a gift.
