been slowly reading the hobbit since last fall, a chapter here and there every few months. we just got to mirkwood and the lil joke the narrator (and thus tolkien himself) makes about the song bilbo sings to distract the spiders not being very good made me literally laugh out loud...... it's so silly and charming 💚

okay, so. at the start of the pandemic i began having dreams that i would go into a bookstore (the store/layout changed each dream) to buy specifically the expanse book 1 and annihilation. i bought annihilation second hand online a few years ago and stopped incorporating it into my dream, but this dream has continued here and there for years at this point. always going in and asking the clerk if they had the same book in stock (they never do for some reason). there are no physical bookstores local to me, but today i was in a city that had a b&n and.....

i don't believe in manifestation or ~fulfilling your dreams~ in a metaphysical sense, but i DO think it's kinda fun to finally do the lil activity my dream space has repeated 10+ times over the past few years. 💙
