as someone who used to get really stuck on the concept of what a "normal" amount of headaches is (I know some people will say it's zero, which is true in a sense, but I don't think it's helpful, because the majority of people will experience at least one headache in their lifetime, and no one would go to the doctor for two mild headaches spaced a decade apart), I hope this can help someone else in a similar situation: at 4 headache days a month, the international headache society recommends starting preventative treatment for migraine (if you're getting 4+ "bad headache" days a month, it's probably migraine. there are other things it could be, but statistically? probably migraine).
I wouldn't say less than 4 headache days a month is "normal." but 4 is definitely a lot.
it's fine i don't even need to be part of social groups or friend groups anyway (giant hole appears in my chest spontaneously) ? what's that
YOU ARE A REGULAR GUY. YOU CAN HANDLE CRITIQUE. YOU ARE A REGULAR GUY. YOU CAN EMBRACE BEING TOLD YOU WERE WRONG. YOU ARE A REGULAR GUY. YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH UNPLEASANT TASKS. YOU ARE A REGULAR GUY. YOU CAN DELIVER DISAPPOINTING NEWS. YOU ARE A REGULAR GUY. YOU KNOW HOW TO BE DISAGREED WITH. YOU ARE A REGULAR GUY. YOU CAN BE CORRECTED. YOU ARE A REGULAR GUY. YOU CAN BE TOLD YOU MESSED UP. YOU ARE A REGULAR GUY. YOU ARE ABLE TO DO HARD THINGS.
hold on i have to do everything
doctor diagnosed me with something while i wasnt listening
The 11th emoji in your history is now your cutie mark 👁️
probably tomorrow i'm gonna somehow be more organized and disciplined than i ever have been in my whole life so i'm fine probably
blood pressure Ain't even real lol. *stands up and immediately
people who tell you to stop reading the news to "regulate your nervous system" do not have your best interests at heart. if following current events makes you spiral you probably need a better analytical frame, not less information
and the analytical frame you need is probably dialectical materialism
i'm totally crazy, i freak out all the time, but you know what helps me most? learning. reading. studying. discussing. sometimes you do need a nap, but sometimes you need a conversation with someone more knowledgeable/experienced, or a day at the (physical or digital) library. and really i think everyone has a different baseline emotional register that's best for them and their circumstances, but i recommend aiming to feel solid and anchored, not necessarily "calm." of course we won't feel "calm" after reading about genocide. but if we approach what we're reading correctly, it can strengthen our resolve; feed our fighting spirit; show us paths to liberation. a lot of people in my life have diagnosed me with "revolutionary optimism" and wonder how i maintain that mindset but i'm not an optimist by nature, it all comes from studying
I have stuff to do that I want to do but what if I got in my head about it? Makes you think
It really does make you think. The trick actually is stopping the thinking which is far trickier. How am I gonna intellectualize my way out of this one

Hell yeah, this rules! I love it!
Not the best, but still really good!
It's okay, I guess. Could be worse.
I have no opinion one way or the other.
It's not great. I really don't care for it.
This sucks! I demand a respin!
NOOOOOOOO!!!
whenever i see a post about someone wondering how an asexual and a sexual can be in a healthy relationship there’s always someone being applauded for saying well asexuals can have sex too or just because someone’s asexual doesn’t mean they won’t have sex but i have never, not once, EVER seen someone say well hey, some sexuals don’t have sex. you can have a full relationship without sex. just throwing it out there
Everyone in the notes saying polyamory and open relationships are great fixes for this too are missing the point. Ace people can have sex—and, yes, some enjoy sex. Yes, open relationships can be loving and healthy for ace people too. But ultimately you’re saying asexuality needs to be fixed by access to sex somehow. To quote op ‘you can have a full relationship without sex’. Your suggestion to find sex outside of the relationship with an ace partner completely misses that point.
sorry but you’re not hiding this in the tags:
#it may be surprising to learn this. but allos can choose to be celibate. famously there are entire religious orders where this is a thing #and a catholic nun who stays celibate her whole life can in fact still have a very full and meaningful life with important relationships #it’s not the end of the fucking world #there are people who don’t drive too. there are people who have never seen a mountain. there are people who don’t play video games. #human experience is too wide to be like ohh if you never do This One Thing then you are sufferinggg like chill maybe
