Summary:
If Dean doesn’t know how to express (let alone deal with) his feelings for Sam, then walking in on Sam flirting with someone else can’t be good for anybody. Sam swears the guy is just an angel and it’s all under control, but Dean spirals. Maybe that was Sam’s plan all along….

Unsolicited Fan Reaction: “Lololololol! This was awesome! I loved the humor, drama, and sexy romance within a very intense time table!”___________________________________
“As the confirmation hearing began this morning, Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee seemed poised to confirm Blanche, with ostensible holdouts Thom Tillis (NC) and John Cornyn (TX) creating a bare modicum of drama but giving themselves plenty of room to jump on board the Blanche bandwagon when the time comes to vote. The nomination is most hung up on the $1.776 billion “anti-weaponization” slush fund, with Tillis insisting on a vote on standalone legislation to ban it before he’ll vote for Blanche. Note that he’s only demanding a vote, not passage. This is one of those patented Capital Hill smokescreens, where a senator reduces a complicated, wide-ranging, multi-dimensional issue to a single high-profile element of that issue — then offers an easy way to talk him off the ledge on it. These kinds of maneuvers are so transparently about not taking a stand that I can’t believe they still work to fool anyone, reporter or voter. But clearly they still do, because they remain an invidious part of congressional politics.”
To my 25 - 35 year olds, you've reached the age where people around you are starting to give up on themselves because they think it's too late. Don't let that energy rub off on you. It's not too late.
Namaygoosisagagun First Nation/Collins has burned to the ground. The entire community is nothing but ashes after being quickly consumed by wildfires. They did not have any support from emergency services, and no one offered aid. The community saved themselves by escaping into boats because no one came.
Mishkeegogamang and Cat Lake have lost power. Families are ending up in shelters with nothing. Armstrong, Lac La Croix, Whitesand, Gull Bay, Lac des Mille Lacs are currently in the fires path and all members are being evacuated.
All this loss, all this devastation, and it was entirely preventable.
After steadily underfunding wildland firefighting and purposefully excluding Indigenous wildland firefighters and Indigenous wildfire organizations from wildfire operations, firefighter training, decisionmaking, and resource exchanges, in 2025, Doug Ford slashed the forest firefighting budget.
It's hard to ignore his decision to cut funding and leave us out of adequate fire training (even though we've lived with forest fires for thousands of years—far longer than settlers have been in Canada—and made sure fires like the ones we're all seeing today were prevented through kinisitotēn) when, despite making up less than 5% of the population, we account for 42% percent of all wildfire evacuations in Canada.
And when we are successfully evacuated, we face discrimination and racism—like Kashechewan—because it's always been easier to blame us than it is to blame the true culprit: denialism, corportate greed, and colonization.
The people of Collins and every other impacted community deserve better.
Right now, the AFN is currently accepting donations to help Collins First Nation. If you're able to, please consider donating.
ONWA (Ontario Native Women's Association) is another great place to donate to. They have outreach vans going to motels and inns and offering food, water, resources, and cultural support to those impacted by the wildfires.
Other places to consider donating to are Mikinakoos Emergency Fund, Red Cross, True North Aid, Indigenous Climate Action. You can also send donations directly to Whitesand First Nation via e-transfer ([email protected]) and they request that you add your full name in the e-transfer comment section to receive a tax receipt.
*Before sending money, verify that the appeal appears on an official First Nation, Tribal Council or registered charity channel.
If you can't offer financial support, please consider donating items of need. Moontime Connections is currently accepting drop-off donations. If you live in the Thunder Bay area, Namaygoosisagagun Health Office is also taking in donations! They can also bemailed to Superior Inn Hotel & Conference Centre at 555 West Arthur Street, Thunder Bay, ON, P7E 5P8.
Med School!Rabbot - Take a break (Pt. 2/2) (Pt. 1)
The house party was just the rush that Robby needed, not that he would ever admit it out loud to Jack or Dana.
With a little booze in his system and the dancing and socialising, he felt himself loosening up more and more.
But he couldn’t help but feel the tension that was prominent between him and Jack. It increased more and more as the night progressed.
Ever since their little squabble(/moment) in the apartment, he couldn’t quite shake the feeling that he misinterpreted a severe part of their friendship and his own feelings.
Why on earth his mind chose this day to realise these things was lost on Robby. It’s not like Jack had behaved much different to any other day. But perhaps the closeness of the fall (and how certain parts of their bodies had touched) made the reaction of his body unavoidable.
Jack was getting them both another drink, so Robby let himself really look at him for once. That douchey backwards cap and his wayward curls adorably sticking out underneath didn’t really help his crisis subside. Not to mention the tank top Jack insisted on wearing, something about „having the guns out for the ladies“.
The good thing is that Robby wasn’t really following the conversation a few of his classmates were having anyway. And Dana was luckily deep in a discussion with her nurse friends at the other end of the room, because the now painfully obvious gaping would have 100 percent earned him another cuff to the back of his head.
When Jack returned with their drinks and handed one to Robby, he gently let his hand rest on the small of Robby's back. They were always standing close, so the subtle touch wasn’t really noticeable from an outside perspective. But it lit Robby up more than he liked to admit.
Has Jack always done that?
Ever since Robby and Jack got over the rivalry (if you could even call it that) they had going on at the start of med school, they became a package deal and it was virtually impossible to separate them. Dana even joked about them being attached at the hip, but not in the way they both would have liked to be.
The party was lively, people were still dancing and singing and chatting.
But Jack and Robby were standing in a quieter corner of the room and talking to each other about nothing in particular. No one was really paying them any mind.
Robby was fidgeting with the pinky ring on Jack's left hand, as Jack softly played with the hem of Robby's shirt over his right hip.
The flannel Robby was wearing at the beginning of the night now tied around his hips, feeling too hot in the crowded room.
The conversation naturally softened to where they weren’t even talking anymore and only gazed into each other’s eyes.
The tension Robby was feeling the entire night only intensified as his own eyes slipped down to Jack's lips as his friend was flicking his tongue out over his dried lips.
Jack's own eyes dipped down to Robby's lips in a heated look.
Jack was the braver man Robby thought, as Jack gave in and grabbed Robby's waist and pushed him gently against the nearest wall. Placing his right hand just next to Robby's head.
Robby gasped on impact with the wall.
The heat and shared looks couldn’t be blamed on the booze anymore, as they had both switched to water after a couple of drinks.
He could only guess that his own blush deepened when he recognised the pink dusting on Jack's cheeks.
Jack's eyes flitted down to Robby's lips again and stayed there for a moment before he leaned in and whispered against Robby's mouth.
„Can I kiss you?“
Robby could barely hear his own whispered „Yes“ over the rushing of the blood in his ears.
Their lips met in an exploratory way, only allowing themselves a couple of soft pecks.
They parted for a short moment to look each other in the eyes, searching for something, anything. Robby could only see utter devotion and adoration in Jack's eyes, hoping his friend saw the same in his.
This time Robby pulled Jack in hard by the front of his shirt. Their mouths clashing in a hungry kiss. Mouths, tongues and hands exploring.
Everything around them faded into background noise, like they were the only two people in the world.
(Thanks again to @mrs-dr-reid for beta reading and suggesting some phrase changes!!!)
robby asking jack if he likes baran more than him ohh he’s so desperate for jack to stay with him but he’s always planned on jack leaving him & wants to give him an out if he’s sick of robby & jack is fully aware how robby’s mind works so he’s refusing to enable it because robby KNOWS that jack loves him more than anyone else in the world
