Passion Project: POC-Led Magical Girl Webcomic

Hey y'all! I'm Marie/Lobi, a writer from France building a POC-led magical girl project called Anima: Royal Magical Academy.

Inspired by Winx Club, Naruto, Steven Universe, Madoka Magica, and Wakfu. I have a full pitch bible, character lore, magic system, and some art ready to go.

THE MAGIC SYSTEM OF A.R.M.A

When signing a contract with A.R.M.A., students become Royal Magicals. They have to choose a dream they're emotionally attached to. That emotional anchor is what allows them to bear the powers of the 6 sigils.

Destruction, creation/restoration, protection, perception, control, and movement were created by the royal family.

The sigils were created by the Royal Family. Inside each of them is the energy of the most powerful forces in the universe and in existence: black holes, dark matter, gravitational fields, stellar nurseries, etc.

Each Royal Magical has a chant tied to the sigil:

Meet the retired magical girls who teaches at ARMA

🌸 Headmistress Louise: Toulousaine, born and raised. She's been at Anima for over 15 years and knows everything about the school, the system, and the students. She loves to talk about the Occitan language.

📖 Deputy Head Teacher Osei: Originally from Ghana, she's an expert in the Neemos and teaches students how to understand them and destroy them. She promotes herself as an emergency contact but never checks her phone.

⚔️ Professor Dihya: Mission Coordinator & Combat Trainer, she's from Algeria. She teaches students how to combine magic with hand-to-hand combat and coordinates their missions. She gives students the most random nickname alongside amazigh snacks that she brings back from Algeria!

THE FOUR PILLAR OF EXISTENCE - MAGICAL GIRL SHOW PROJECT

Hello!

Today I’m introducing the 4 goddesses that rule over my show’s universe and are at the origin of the magical girls and boys.

The Four Pillars are goddesses created by the Source to.

Energy was the first one created, the closest to the source she created the energy that animates things. Alongside her sister Matter, together they created the engine and the fuel that helped shape the Universe.

Space created dimension and volume, the distance of the "where" for matter and energy to exist.

Then Time created duration, sequence, making the "when" happen and ruling over the past, present and future.All four sisters were the keepers of the Source. Energy being the one mainly helping souls being guided and created.

They haunt the plot a lot but they appear much later in the story.

POV: You're an alt magical girl but also a lover girl that writes poems to your fiancé.

Your weeks are busy.

Your human mother is a Caribbean Surinamese that screams "mapima" the second you give her an attitude.

On Mondays you have to fight your archnemesis and stop him from stealing souls.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday you have to attend classes and hang out with your friends.

Fridays you join the book club to talk about the romance book you read and your favorite quotes.

Saturdays are band training. You love being the guitarist. Your guitar skills are immaculate.

Sundays your space alien boyfriend visits you. He tells you how much he loves you. You love him even more but... he never wants to kiss you?

Meet my Croatian and Nigerian Magical Girl OCs!

Vera and Olori are two of my favorite dynamics in ARMA.

Vera is from Zagreb (Croatia) and is studying abroad in Toulouse. She wishes to become a famous violonist and make her parents proud.

Olori is from Ibadan (Nigeria) and is studying abroad in Toulouse as well. She studies Environmental Biology even though her real dream is to become a full-time artist.

Their personality contrast a lot. Vera is very laid-back, chill and blunt. She swears a lot, not out of anger, it's her way of holding conversations, they come naturally. She's kind of bad at boundaries however. Olori is shy, quiet, anxious and worries a lot: from the way her hair looks to how she worded a sentence. She's very bad at starting conversations but once she does, you can't get her to shut up.

The Prototypes. The most dangerous Neemos of them all, capable of absorbing multiple life forces on a massive scale when there isn't a magical girl around to absorb. They're fast, they use shadows to travel and they're adaptable, constantly mutating.
