Hekate is the Titan Goddess of the Crossroads, Necromancy, Spirits, Liminality, and the Dark Moon. She was also associated with the night, and is worshipped every month during the Dark Moon during the Deipna.

☾ Hekate was not traditionally associated with witchcraft or magic, but rather was honoured as a Cthonic Titaness who ruled over liminality, the crossroads and was a guide to the restless dead. As subjects such as necromancy, spirit worship and liminality began to be associated with witchcraft in the modern era, she became associated with it.
☾ In the Homeric Hymn to Demeter, Hekate acts as Persephone's guide in the underworld, and also aides in Demeter finding out where Persephone had been kidnapped to.
☾ Hekate was commonly considered to either be the child of Perseus & Asteria, Zeus & Asteria, or Nyx(no second parent), she is a 3rd generation Titaness and is not considered an Olympian, she was not banished to Tartarus during the Titanomachy because she was loyal to the Olympians.
